Antico Falcone In Roma

A typical Roman trattoria from the past. Welcoming and authentic. Don't miss the artichoke alla giudia! The fried and stewed tripe are also good. The pasta was a shame about the cooking (it's a bit overcooked, being in Rome, pasta is served al dente), but the sauce on the gricia was very good. Overall, more than satisfactory.

Gooood night what a great lunch we had here. Carciofi fritti not to be missed. Panna Cotta in a little bowl so the caramel doesn't run away around the edge a plate: divine. Extremely nice, accommodating staff. Photo shows how much the meal was enjoyed.

I'm in Rome for the closing of the Holy Door, and the B&B where I'm staying recommended this trattoria. I can say it's fantastic! I ate wonderfully. My husband and I went there on both nights of our mini-vacation. The first courses were beautifully executed, with pasta al dente, just how I like it. The second courses were traditional Roman, also delicious. The homemade desserts were also a pleasant surprise. The owner is a lovely lady, friendly and cheerful. The staff were attentive in their service. Thank you so much, we really enjoyed our stay.

A truly spectacular osteria in the heart of Rome. Traditional dishes, generous portions, and impeccable, highly professional service. We discovered it by chance and fell in love with it so much that we booked three dinners in a row. Gemma is simply fabulous, an extraordinary host. We will definitely return on our next visit to Rome.

Antico Falcone is one of those restaurants that combines quality, service and amazing food without being pretentious. A place that you go to eat and leave happy and satisfied. Typical Roman restaurant, clean, high ceilings, well-managed by the waiters, large and bright room.

We chose this restaurant without a reservation, but the lady at the front desk was extremely kind, helpful, and attentive: within about 10 minutes, she managed to find us a table for two, making us feel immediately welcomed. The menu is the one displayed at the entrance, with the addition of some specials of the day. Typical Roman cuisine, impeccably executed, with quick and efficient service. The restaurant is clean and frequented primarily by locals, not tourists, a detail always greatly appreciated. The only small improvements concern communication: it would be helpful to list the specials of the day on paper or a chalkboard, and to more clearly indicate whether wine is available by the glass or in bulk, which is not explicitly stated. The prices are absolutely in line and excellent value. The €1 cover charge is excellent. Recommended if you're already in the area, but less so for those who need to travel there specifically.

I'm visiting Rome and was taken to this restaurant. I can summarize it this way: The artichoke appetizer was spectacular, a triumph of artichokes. The Jewish-style artichokes, for my personal taste, were incredible. Pasta, three first courses: carbonara 10/10, cacio e pepe 6/10 (because the pasta was overcooked in our opinion), gricia 9/10 (the pasta needed 1 minute more cooking). Overall, excellent.
