A nice place for breakfast, aperitifs, etc. The ideal location to enjoy the Cagliari atmosphere.

This place was recommended in the Routard guide, so we went without hesitation. The terrace was heated and pleasant. The service was excellent. The menu was lovely. We chose a non-alcoholic cocktail, which was very well made. AMEX cards were accepted.

Fantastic place right in the heart of Cagliari

We had a company dinner at the Sardegna Hotel hosted by our dear friends at Antico Caffè. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the wonderful Director Richard, who takes impeccable care of the restaurant and staff, and with the utmost professionalism. Excellent service, excellent cuisine, everything was perfect. Thank you so much for making our evening a truly wonderful one.

Perfekte Lage direkt an der Constitution Square – so zog es uns gleich mehrfach hierher, sei es zum Frühstück, zum Mittagessen oder auch nur schnell auf einen kleinen Imbiss. Hier trifft sich eher die schicke Szene der Stadt, weshalb man kleinere Mängel beim Service und etwas längere Wartezeiten in Kauf nehmen muss. Wenn man Zeit mitbringt, ist das jedoch kein Problem. Was uns nach mehreren Wochen in this Stadt besonders in Erinnerung geblieben ist, war das traumhafte Fischgericht. Whoever is not happy here is still here, even in the middle of the night in the rich garden. Even our little black dog, who is always back in the place and who is still walking in the lower entrance area, was greeted with friendly welcome and always enjoyed fresh water. Perfect location, right on Piazza Costituzione: that's why we stopped here several times, for breakfast, lunch, or even just a quick snack. It's a meeting point in the most elegant part of the city, so you have to expect some small service shortcomings and slightly longer waits. However, if you're not in a hurry, it's not a problem at all. What particularly impressed us, even after several weeks in the city, was the extraordinary fish dish. If you're not in a rush, this is the perfect place to stay until late at night. Even our little black dog, who was often lured inside and sometimes stubbornly lay down in the entryway, was always welcomed kindly and always provided with a bowl of fresh water.

A historic Cagliari establishment, beautiful and welcoming. Unfortunately, you can't think of serving excellent tea with old, decrepit doughnuts! I'm sorry, but you should be more careful when choosing what you serve. And it's not the first time this has happened...

The tablecloths outside are dirty; too many narrow tables also make it difficult to sit comfortably. To pay, you have to queue inside, but due to the lack of space, you risk bumping into someone drinking coffee at the counter. The whole thing needs to be revisited or payment methods should be streamlined. Prices are in line with downtown cafes.

I visited Antico Caffè in Cagliari on Thursday, December 18, 2025, with high expectations, especially after seeing the “Tiramisù 1855” presented on the café’s official website. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The ginseng coffee I ordered was served cold, but the main disappointment was the tiramisù. The portion I received was very small and consisted almost entirely of cream, with hardly any biscuit layers. It looked more like the last remaining piece than a dessert that represents a signature item. What added to the disappointment was the price: the tiramisù is listed on the café’s official website at €5, yet I was charged €8. The dessert did not appear on the physical menu provided at the table, so this discrepancy was only noticed afterward. I believe that a place with such a reputation should be more consistent in terms of quality, presentation, and pricing, regardless of whether the customer is a regular or a one-time visitor. I hope this feedback is taken in the constructive spirit in which it is intended

A magical place in a precious city. Richard & Giulia, along with their wonderful staff, make us feel at home, welcoming every occasion with warmth. Open kitchen, international breakfasts, sourcing the finest ingredients, you are wonderful✨ Marti, Eli, Luca, Ema, Steve, Olga, Massimo, Dani, and all the other staff who call us by our NAME, pamper us with their endless attention and delicacies.
