Antico Buffet Benedetto In Trieste

Very good dishes, neither too expensive nor inexpensive. We had the goulash. The staff is very nice. They didn't speak English but we managed to understand each other. Nothing exceptional in terms of atmosphere and decoration.

Spaghetti with sea food & grilled fish with grilled potatoes were really good. Some of the staff speak decent English. They all were super helpful and positive.

Everything was great, I ordered Tagliatelle al Ragu for my kids in the takeaway. While I was waiting I was able to enjoy a good Pinot Grigio and a good espresso. Friendliness was good, everything was courteous and quick. The atmosphere was inviting, both inside and outside.

I'm from Trieste, my husband and I wanted to have a "rebechin", so we sat outside in this historic buffet and ordered two sandwiches with cooked ham and breaded vegetables. The sandwiches were excellent, the ham soft, warm and tasty; the fresh and fragrant kren The chopped vegetables presented on skewers are also good. Very kind and helpful staff, I asked for information on opening hours and menus as I have a b&b and am looking for typical places where I can direct my customers, many of whom are celiac. The menu is very varied, most of what is offered falls within the classics of traditional Trieste cuisine. I was surprised to see that they offered one of my favorite and difficult-to-find desserts, rigojanci: delicious, made with rice flour to satisfy even those who must follow a gluten-free diet. Always gluten-free, they also have packs of single-dose bread and pasta. It was a great experience, for years I hadn't eaten a jota like my mother did. Compliments. The sardines are also very good. I had a very good time and recommend the place.

Splendid trattoria still in time, but not at all shabby or outdated, the perfect place to try typical dishes, tradition and feel like you are in Trieste. You eat well and pay little, the atmosphere you breathe does everything else. To try

Ovviamente non è più il ristorante di una volta .. uno dei molti ristoranti dove si mangiava il ottimo pesce servito dai camerieri in giacca bianca! Trattoria alla buona … Di straordinario solo il brodetto di pesce…sardoni impanati secchi.. probabilmente già fritti da tempo. Pesce al cartoccio .. ok! Vino bianco solo bevibile con l’acqua spritz !
