Every year, when we return from Puglia, we stop in Ascoli Piceno during the first week of July and book dinner at Antico Bonelli. I prefer to call ahead to be sure of a seat, because it's an event we absolutely don't want to miss! We have a wonderful time. The food is delicious and everything is made strictly with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming, not to mention the kindness and friendliness with which we are served. A true trattoria (finally!) with just a few dishes listed verbally, as it should be, everything delicious, and a cheerful and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Oh well! Something I'll definitely go back to. The Gricia is amazing, not super creamy but just right, the pasta is perfectly al dente, and the sweet Ascoli tart is one of the best things I've ever eaten. Super prices. The waiter is top-notch, genuinely kind and friendly. The dishes are like 140-hour pasta dishes plus sauce... in short, if I were to return to Ascoli, I'd know where to eat truly traditional food.

The appetizers were excellent, and the stuffed olives were definitely the best I've tasted in Ascoli. The rest was excellent, from the main courses to the desserts. Very friendly staff. We'll be back.

I went to this trattoria this evening and... FANTASTIC!! Talk about "sincere cuisine" Appetizers: Ascolana olives, superb! Marinated zucchini with orange zest and walnuts: unexpectedly delicious First courses: Spaghettoni alla gricia: I'll be dreaming about them tonight 😋😋 Second courses: Beef and pork stew, EXCELLENT Grilled scamorza with prosciutto: Superlative, especially the prosciutto. Then it was time for dessert, and what can I say...I'll remember them for a long time 😋🤗 The service was fast, attentive, professional, and friendly, without being intrusive. Kudos to Federica because she was perfect. The bill was lower than expected: €27 per person. I absolutely recommend this trattoria.

Trovato per: Internet / a caso Categoria: Ristorante Italiano Trattoria molto alla buona in una vietta del suggestivo centro storico di Ascoli. L’ambiente è molto semplice ma confortevole. Abbiamo preso delle olive ascolane che ci sono piaciute, fritte bene e molto saporite. Non si può dire altrettanto della fricassea di funghi e uovo, non sapeva assolutamente di nulla e, in fondo alla terrina che appunto conteneva degli insapori funghi (champignon?) a pezzettini e dell’uovo strapazzato, c’era un’acquetta brutta anche da vedere. Piatto a mio avviso da rivedere completamente o da eliminare. L’arrosto di vitello con patate invece, nella sua estrema semplicità e delicatezza, era buono. Stessa cosa per la scamorza piastrata con prosciutto, piatto facilissimo da fare la cui riuscita dipende unicamente dalla qualità della scamorza, in questo caso molto saporita. Carta dei vini non pervenuta, stavolta in senso letterale, in quanto sia il menù sia le (pochissime) proposte di bottiglie vengono dette a voce dalla giovane proprietaria, che però ascoltando la mia richiesta è riuscita a proporci un vino che la rispecchiasse, semplice ma piacevole e dal buon rapporto qualità prezzo. Molto gentile e sorridente la suddetta ragazza, che si occupava dell’accoglienza e del servizio in sala. Conto relativamente basso rispetto a locali analoghi.
