Very nice restaurant and excellent food

Five stars for the food, the food is truly delicious (if I really had to find a flaw, the mashed potatoes served with kidneys were a bit cold), and the wine list is excellent. The price is typical of a high-end restaurant, but fair considering the quality of the menu. Unfortunately, the service wasn't commensurate with the price paid; the head waiter stood up with his shoes on several chairs in the dining room to adjust the lamps: "Hey, last night we had a dinner with a lot of people and we pushed the tables together, we haven't fixed them yet," and then told us to "have a seat" without even cleaning them (and the chairs were clearly dirty). The same person also appeared rude throughout the evening, and the waitresses making rude comments about how they'd finished everything and patting us on the back left me truly shocked...

We've been frequenting the Antico Albergo restaurant for years, and each time we find a warm, welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. The menu changes frequently and always manages to surprise us: yesterday we enjoyed polenta with taleggio cheese and truffle, a simply extraordinary cheek! For dessert, I chose the deconstructed black forest cake, which was truly amazing. A historic restaurant that continues to renew itself without losing its soul. I frequent this restaurant at least once a year with my husband, during white truffle season, which has become almost a small autumn ritual for us. Each time, we find the same excellent quality: carefully prepared dishes, never banal, always balanced, and truly delicious. The atmosphere is rustic yet elegantly understated, with great attention to detail: the beautiful cotton tablecloths, the meticulous table setting, the impeccable service. The staff is kind and attentive, present but not intrusive, and even the way they clear the table between courses demonstrates the care they take. Another strong point: the consistently low noise level, allowing you to enjoy lunch or dinner in peace. A restaurant that manages to combine tradition and refinement, and one that has never disappointed us.
