The building and the atmosphere of the restaurant were great, it set a really high expectation. Sadly the food wasn’t that great… the cold antipasti was tasteless boiled shrimp, octopus and some smoked salmon. The shrimp pasta was pretty decent, just like the fried seafood, nothing special. Than we also got the tuna steak with mint sauce. The mint sauce were just some leaves of mint on top of the tuna steak. Our mouth started to tingle from the tuna and after the meal we both got a very bad stomach ache… We were expecting high quality fish in a fish only restaurant, sadly it was not what we expected.
We stumbled upon it by chance without booking... We ordered appetizers and first courses and tried their millefeuille! As seafood lovers, we can say it was all delicious: the freshest ingredients, perfectly cooked! We couldn't help but mop up the bread! Well done!
Compliments for both the restaurant and the food, the only downside being that it varies daily and is all fresh fish. We were truly satisfied with both the quality of the food and the service. We will definitely be back.
We've been coming here for 4 years, and since they recommended it to us, we've stopped coming to Trentinara! The food is so good, and the quality and price are excellent. Friendly and helpful...a small, welcoming place. Everything is fish-based.
