In un viaggio da Eraclea Minoa a Palermo ci siamo fermati a Portella della Ginestra e abbiamo pranzato qui; ci hanno aspettato senza problemi nonostante avessimo un ritardo di più di 30 minuti (e avevamo prenotato per le 13.45). Ottimo tutto, dagli antipasti al dolce. Atmosfera informale.

Questa sera abbiamo cenato all’Antica Trattoria San Giovanni. Atmosfera elegante e ottimo servizio. Abbiamo ordinato un tagliere di salumi e formaggi di prima scelta, un piatto di tagliatelle al pistacchio e un arrosto misto (salsiccia, puntina di maiale e agnello). Tutto eccellente. Anche il vino. Sicuramente torneremo. Ristorante consigliato a chi intende mangiare cibo di altissima qualità preparato da mani sapienti come quelle del proprietario Carlo.

At the ancient San Giovanni restaurant we felt at home. Carlo and Adriana welcomed us warmly and made us sit on their splendid terrace. The dishes, all served in a short time, were delicious and the menu presented a wide choice of fish and meat. I highly recommend the mixed seafood tagliolini and the grilled squid that I ordered. We will definitely return, before our return to Turin, to try the meat-based dishes on offer!
