Restaurant in the center of Venice next to the Rialto fish market, historic, having been in business since 1500, and decidedly pleasant. The environment is welcoming and refined but not tacky, the staff are friendly and helpful and the menu is extensive. There is also a quality tasting menu, we are talking about over a hundred euros each, and the wine list is also extensive: the personal choice fell on the squid stuffed with prawns, olives and basil, good but without standing out, and spaghetti with clams and bottarga, really well made with al dente pasta and enormous clams to say the least, with a strong flavour. Obviously the bill varies a lot based on the choices, with a complete meal, considering a €4 cover charge (compensated by a nice portion of savory dishes and welcome bubbles) and a first or second course costing over €20, it is almost impossible to spend less than €60. Recommended for those who want to live a typical and high-level Venetian culinary experience.

We had a lovely lunch at this historical restaurant, Poste Vecie, Davide and his team were very friendly, attentive and helpful. Davide was very kind to give us a brief history on the property and the noteworthy pieces. The food was delectable. Highly recommend!

Historic Venetian inn from 1500 in the rooms of an ancient post office a stone's throw from the Rialto fish market. Impeccable and elegant but at the same time friendly and informal service. Extensive menu with all the specialties of the Venetian tradition and zero-metre raw materials from the market opposite. For our Easter lunch we tasted fresh and balanced spider crab salad, excellent canestrelli and scallops au gratin, classic sepia spaghetti and magnificent risotto creamed with lagoon fish. Traditional tiramisu and spectacular millefeuille whipped up at the table. However, a nice Easter menu was available. Excellent cellar with a nice classic sweet to accompany. The service was immpecable. The moment we walked in, we were greeted and coats taken. Once seated, we were given a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. The server, David, was on top of it and very friendly. The lobster pasta was amazing and cooked to perfection. My husband had the duck ragu and loved it. The single bridge to cross to get to the restaurant is adorable and adds character. Highly recommend.

Visited here on our first night in Venice. It was so good we spent our last evening in Venice here too. Food excellent, lovely staff and perfect atmosphere. Highly recommended.
