Very nice restaurant, exemplary service. The grilled octopus was excellent. The mille-feuille with red fruits prepared in front of us was very good... It's warm, it feels good in winter... A great discovery!

The place is nice but I wouldn't go back. Unfortunately no frying because the fryer was broken. The actual barbecue wasn't much even though there is a wide choice at the fish market in this period. The waiter pours still mineral water, I tell him that I wanted sparkling water and without emptying the glass or changing it, he pours the sparkling water over the still water. Not much but looking at the bill an extra coffee was recorded.

Great venue serving excellent food . Being the oldest restaurant it was good to see that on the night we went it was still filled by locals . Scallop gratin and spider crab salad are excellent starters . Pasta with clams followed by turbot to share. The turbot was amazing value at 58 euros for 1 kg. Staff were great and attentive. For a real experience of old Venice this is a place to come .

A generous welcome and a great selection of food! We chose the grilled sole (near the fish market) accompanied by polenta (not the best we have tasted). Cordial atmosphere and attentive service

Very nice atmosphere, fantastic staff and excellent food and wine. This restaurant has its own little bridge. The place used to be a post office back in 1500.

Trattoria San Basilio

15/10/2024: Great little restaurant, also well attended by locals. You are shown the fish before it is prepared and can see for yourself how fresh it is. Clear menu, especially with fish dishes. Highly recommended!
19/09/2024: Had a beautifully cooked sea bass served with grilled courgettes and salad leaves. However, I don’t recommend the spaghetti pomodoro as it lacked everything from seasoning, flavour and care. They don’t speak much English or have many dairy free dishes but service was good. If it’s not too cold, you can enjoy your meal by the water
