The platter is excellent, some of the starters are good, some are less so (pappardelle with duck). Sweets same thing. Give it another chance

A great lunch! Wonderful day with a table in the sun, a mix of appetizers with excellent quality typical cured meats! Especially the smoked goose speck on toast with pâté! Risotto with courgette flowers and space sausage!
Then we continued with slices and artichokes.
The drink is well stocked, excellent quality and variety!
Recommended place
Braised priest's hat, polenta, a glass of chianti... outside it's raining... inside the warmth of hospitality and historic walls, what else to say...

Saturday evening dinner to celebrate the birthday of a dear friend.
9 people met at the Antica Trattoria Mirazzano, a rustic farmhouse surrounded by greenery, in the immediate vicinity of the renowned castle of Peschiera Borromeo, wrapped in a magical atmosphere of calm and relaxation.
Given that the location is splendid, the restaurant is very close to the Forlanini airport, surrounded by the splendid Lombard countryside, in Peschiera Borromeo, reachable by car from both the Nuova Paullese and the Vecchia Paullese, after inserting the "traveler system", to avoid the risk of getting lost, at least on foggy evenings.
The Antica Trattoria di Mirazzano is a beautiful location, both the older part and the new one (rebuilt in the same style) are valuable, an ancient suggestive Borghetto; Furthermore, the restaurant has a beautiful garden where you can eat outdoors in the summer.
Inside there are several rooms that can accommodate up to 200 people, in fact it often hosts weddings and large ceremonies.
The menu combines peasant tradition with modernity, favoring above all meat dishes, from Lombardy cuisine and beyond.
We all ordered 2 courses, some Starters and First Course, some Starters and Second Courses and some First Courses and Second Courses, all excellently prepared after hearing the various comments of the diners present, accompanied by several bottles of white "bubbly" to celebrate the birthday boy and red to accompany the dishes.
Among the dishes tasted I mention the flan with artichokes, appetizer of cured meats and cotechino with polenta, ravioli stuffed with Castelmagno with truffles, breast of guinea fowl, braised priest's hat with polenta, rabbit with polenta, sliced meat.
The portions could be a little more generous, especially the second courses.
The cost is not that of a restaurant, but the raw materials are certainly excellent. Good and varied cellar. Courteous and professional table service, never intrusive. Overall fast and punctual service. Refined and quiet environment.

Location carina, camerieri gentili.
antipasti discreti: ne abbiamo assaggiati 3 diversi.
-salumi con giardiniera e tortino rustico alle verdure =salame molto buono, il resto dei salumi sono i soliti che trovi in giro ovunque niente di speciale, la giardiniera comprendeva 2 pezzi di peperone e due cipollotti, il tortino non era un tortino ma una torta salata di cui ci hanno dato un pezzo invisibile (15€) too much
-cotechino con polenta e parmigiano= niente da dire, era molto buono!
-salame di cinghiale con suo paté su crostini di pane= sul sapore niente da dire ma i crostini erano davvero 2 di numero. (14€) too much
primo consigliato il risotto con fiori di zucca e salsiccia. (ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo 14€ e porzione abbondante)
per quanto riguarda il dolce, era buono (non eccellente!) su quello non discuto, ma farci pagare 7,5€/8€ di dolce (un budino o la millefoglie che erano 4 mini gocce di crema con sopra una foglia di pasta e qualche frutto di bosco) mi serva davvero esagerato!
Vino solo dai 27€ in su.
