Antica Trattoria Etnea In Catania

We ordered a menu that was 15€ and consisted of 3 courses and a drink. They first bring you spaghetti (you chose from over 10 different kinds), than you get meat either chicken or lamb (you can chose the same with fish but it’s 5€ more expensive) this comes with a salad or fries (your choice) plus bread and a soft drink. The food came out in 5 minutes and as soon you finish with the first meal they immediately change your silverware clean ur table and after 5 more minutes you get the main course. Food was delicious just the salad was a lil dull, considering we paid only 63.5€ for 4 people and we couldn’t even finish everything. Would recommend this to yall, idk why they have only 2.5 starts on google.

I was today here and the Food was very nice. We payed for spaghetti, chicken, salad and drink 15€ thats very cheap! The waiter was very polite. I will definitely coming back again.

Surprised by the note, which does not seem appropriate. Menu in several languages, with photos of the dishes. Very fair prices. The service, even if the English is a little weak, remains efficient. Pleasant terrace. Only downside: the toilets are in, let's say, average condition...

According to many people’s description, it’s kind of trashy, but in reality the food is quite normal, it’s best to get pizza from them, but the cocktails are nothing at all, small and weak. The waiters are normal and brought everything in about 15-20 minutes. Overall not bad 🙂‍↕️

I don't understand all the negative reviews read. With my family on holiday in Catania we went there three times and had a good time. We tasted both the meat and fish menus. In our opinion they were good and plentiful, nothing to envy of other more famous restaurants. The written price was real...we had a good time

Non capisco tutte le recensioni negative lette. Con la mia famiglia in vacanza a Catania ci siamo andati tre volte e ci siamo trovati bene. Abbiamo assaggiato sia il menu carne che il menù pesce. A nostro avviso erano ottimi e abbondanti nulla da invidiare ad altri ristoranti più blasonati. Il prezzo scritto era reale ..noi ci siamo trovati bene

I really don’t get all the negative reviews. I had an early flight to Catania, left my bags at the hotel and dived right in the city. Trattoria Etnea was the first restaurant I sat at (it was raining heavily). The Aperol Spritz was just fabulous, really. Best I ever had. The pizza was delicious too. Prices for this location are insanely low in my opinion. Around 15 euro for a cocktail, an appetizer and a pizza + the corpetto (table coverage typical for Italy and definitely everywhere in Sicily) = less than 20 euro per person. Ended up having drinks and light lunch here on my last day as well. I’m so happy I came back to finish my trip to Catania at Trattoria Etnea. Mind you, it’s absolutely unpretentious and yes - there are always noises coming from the tourist traffic and the street merchants’ stalls/pavilions like someone mentioned, but the establishment is right on the main shopping street, so that’s perfectly normal and I would say it even adds to the experience. Gave service 4 stars only because most of them speak almost no English, which is a bit weird given that there’s tourists all the time, but this seems to be the case with all of Sicily’s restaurants. Overall I had a lovely experience!

locale in zona centralissima! prezzi piu' che onesti per essere in pieno centro storico. siamo stati fermati da una simpatica signora davanti al locale che ci ha spiegato alcune promozioni. per 15 euro abbiamo fatto un pranzo completo(primo,secondo,contorno e bibite), ci siamo trovati molto bene. lo consigliamo.
