I had dinner at this historic trattoria. I had a great time, with a wide selection of dishes. The staff was friendly and attentive to every customer's needs, and the dishes arrived just in time to cook. You can choose from a set menu. The food was good and quick, and I recommend it to everyone. I think it's worth it.

We had a great time at this roadside restaurant, which doesn't look like much at first glance. We were the only women there, along with the waitress (adorable and very helpful, who bent over backwards to find a dish that suited my intolerances), and we could tell the men there were amused to see us, tourists, a little "lost" in this small restaurant full of regulars. The food was delicious, plentiful, and fresh, the atmosphere very rustic and authentic, and the bill surprised us: €21 for two dishes, a huge mixed salad for two people, a beer, a bottle of water, and cutlery. I highly recommend it 🙌🏻

Historic trattoria in Gello. Excellent for a quick business lunch. Good food, fast service, extensive menu on the legendary blackboard, fair prices, and... What can I say? A classic if you're in the area. A true trattoria. You can tell by the people who have been coming here forever. I've stopped there often over the years. They're always good.

10/05/2025: Hemos conocido a los propietarios durante algún tiempo; tenían un pequeño hotel, cerca, luego se mudaron a establecer este lugar, en 2023. Tenemos una casa local aquí, y hemos disfrutado de la zona durante unos 18 años. Todo sobre este restaurante es especial; la "actitud" es muy buena de hecho. Un montón de encantadoras características interiores italianas. La comida es "salvaje". Muy bien presentado y muy buenas porciones generosas, y muy creativo. Mucho que decir; risotto, pasta. Mi ternera se derritió (como uno dice) en la boca. Vino muy razonable precio. En general nos pasamos un poco - bordo, pero fácil tener EU 125 / 150 , para DOS. Personal muy atento. Chef salió a charlar; buen tipo. Conversé aquí con algunos clientes italianos que habían conducido 30 km para comer aquí, que lo dice todo. Ve allí.

Osteria La Pieve Vecchia

19/10/2025: We would normally have given 5 stars, but this time only 3. The pools were all closed, even when it was 25°C and sunny, which can happen if the property deems it appropriate (they are normally open from May 1 to October 1). One point less for this decision, which went against what we were told when booking, and for the disappointment of the children; another for the refusal to provide a sun lounger to an 85-year-old guest. The staff remains friendly and competent, but obviously bound by management's decisions. We hope the property will invest a little more in maintenance of the property and in attention to guests next season.
19/10/2025: When vacationing in Tuscany, you have to think carefully about the right location to keep the distances somewhat under control. This was perfect for us; the complex is very well-maintained and beautifully designed. There are many vacation apartments and a few rooms, like a village in its own right.
