Da Carlone was recommended to us by a local tour guide and we are so glad it was!!! It was the best pasta we had in Rome! We ordered two pasta dishes. Huge serving sizes and absolutely delicious. Amazing wine. Beautiful family run restaurant.

We ate at one of the best carboneras in the world. In addition to the authentic food, the waiters, their service, and their recommendations were very honest and accurate. The portions are huge without sacrificing any quality.

This a favourite spot of mine. The staff can be a bit slow so you’ll have to call them over. The food is incredible with very big portions. Whenever I’m in Rome, I’m heading here!!

The food is good, but there's no transparency about the prices. Last night, a group of 18 people ended up with a bill of 42 euros each, without having a menu to get a sense of what they were getting before ordering.

The best carbonara pasta I've ever tasted, and the coda alla vaccinara was phenomenal. If you want to eat authentic Roman food, the best carbonara in a truly Roman setting, don't hesitate to visit this restaurant. The waiter, an elderly gentleman, is a wonderful person. God bless him. You should make a reservation. I couldn't take photos of the food because my phone died.

It takes a while to get your food but it's well worth it. Each plate is enough for 2. We ordered Carbonara, caccio e pepe, matriciana. Excellent!

Ho mangiato in questo locale diverse volte e vivo a Roma. Gricia, carbonara, amatriciana, trippa, carciofi alla giudia…. Tutto gustoso, abbondante e secondo tradizione. Lavora qui tutta la famiglia e si vede che sono del mestiere. Lo consiglio a chi vuole provare la cucina tipica romana. Informale e prezzi giusti!

Non avevamo prenotazioni, ma trovando il titolare seduto ad un tavolo prima dell’apertura siamo riuscite a trovare un posto. Gentilissimi! Ottimi piatti! Porzioni non abbondanti!!! Di più!!! Sicuramente torneremo!

01/10/2025: We went to grab some truffle salt and oil near to the market and then came to this restaurant to grab a bite for lunch:) As recommended the foods were incredible especially pizza and carbonara :) I love their pizza! Not expensive comparing to other touristic places :)
