The frittatina is still excellent (the price has doubled in 7 years), but the rest is just not so good. What a shame.

If you don’t know the place it is not easy to find it. Mostly locals prefer it if I understood well. It had the best pizza I have ever try, and generally the food was perfect. I definitely recommend it

A place that retains its old-world charm and makes forgiving of a few imperfections. Traditional pizza, without the frills of the new wave. On the menu, I'd see more emphasis on the "ruota di carro" and traditional pizzas. The fried foods are excellent; the "completa fritta" alone is worth a visit.

A bartender recommended it to us. Famous for its frittatina, it was really good. They only had appetizers and pizzas. Hearty dishes at a good price.

I've been going there for years, and whenever I'm in Naples, I absolutely have to stop by Di Matteo. The pizza is top-notch! To avoid waiting outside, it's best to go around 12-12:30. It's worth it for both the quality of the pizzas and the reasonable prices. Even at busy times, you get your order quickly.

A large, bare-bones restaurant that the storefront doesn't give away. The pizza and fried pizza are very good, and the appetizers are (too) generous. We liked the local feel, which was designed for the faithful rather than tourists.

02/05/2025: Pizze particolari e molto gustose in questo locale umile ma accogliente a pochi passi dalla stazione di Napoli! Se abitassi qui sarebbe sicuramente la mia pizzeria da asporto di riferimento!
17/11/2024: Viste le recensioni abbiamo provato questa pizzeria secondo noi sopravvalutata,abbiamo preso della provola arrosto buona,quindi abbiamo assaggiato 4 tipi di pizze differenti giudizio:sufficienti sia per il sapore che per impasto e cottura! Bassa offerta di bevande e dolci.

La Vera Pizza

25/04/2025: We have been customers of this restaurant several times, and in each of them we were largely satisfied with both the service of the staff and the dishes brought to us. The dishes are excellent and top quality, and the menu is complete and broad, care is not only given to the main proposals but also to those that are typically left out (such as the classic caesar salads, grilled vegetables, etc...). The staff is courteous and helpful, making this experience comparable to a dinner at grandma's house, considering the very welcoming environment. The price is suitable and proportionate to the quantities and quality offered. I highly recommend visiting.
