Tried Antica Pizzeria di Matteo and was a bit disappointed. The pizza was overloaded with cheese, quite greasy, and much heavier than other pizzas I’ve had in Napoli so fat. As another reviewer mentioned, it tasted more like an average pizza you’d find outside of Italy. The place and staff also didn’t feel very welcoming either. Wouldn’t recommend or return.

As for the pizzas, they were quite tasty and well-made. The guy who served us seemed a bit uninterested in providing good service. The bad thing is that without asking, they charge you 15% more when you pay; they just give you the receipt and you have to pay. I don't agree with this; it's not transparent.

Recommended by a Neapolitan to try fried pizza. It's delicious, different; mine was folded like a calzone, with plenty of filling. A peculiar place, very noisy. Low prices.

People queue outside to get take away when you can easily get a table inside. Value for money is 100%. Really the best pizza. Try the fried one. We went twice !

01/09/2025: I'm very sorry to write this review. But after some time we went back to eat. Total disappointment. Appetizer, defrosted octopus, nothing exceptional, then, mussel soup, gave me heartburn, but the first course, spaghetti with clams, no comment, spaghetti in bianco with 7 clams, I think it was one of the worst I've eaten, and I travel around (throughout Italy), not just Campania...
