An authentic experience; they didn't get carried away by the TV hype, and everything retains the simple, typical mountain atmosphere. The fireplace is stunning, the food excellent (perhaps I'd expand the main course selection), and the staff are friendly. The house wine is also very good; I recommend it. I also recommend this place for those with children and for those wanting to visit the nearby Art Park. Oh, and if you found two Pokémon figurines on the floor, they belong to my son.

Birthday lunch, great expectations for the Stella d'Oro, which won the "I 4 Ristoranti" award as the best restaurant in Carnia. Traditional Carnic dishes included "il toc da vore," an ancient lumberjack dish, polenta tart with black trumpet mushrooms, potato gnocco stuffed with plums, and pumpkin and "muset" crepes. I should point out that the tiramisu wasn't up to par, and Ours was the only table with an unlit candle, a small detail that affected my judgment.

Typical Friulian cuisine; if I could give it 10 stars, I'd give it a thumbs up. Every dish on the menu is prepared with incredible care, and everything is simply delicious! The restaurant is welcoming and well-kept. The extremely kind staff makes you feel at home, pampered, and appreciated. Absolutely not to be missed!

Some dishes are very good, e.g.: savory strudel appetizer and chalsons, other dishes are a little less so, e.g.: gialletti appetizer, polenta and ricotta (rather bitter).

21/11/2025: Over the years, you've evolved more and more, constantly improving. Every time I pass by, it's a must-try for gelato and cheese. What can I say? One scoop of gelato feels like two! The Pinguino flavor remains my favorite. The cheese is also always excellent and very fresh. The girls are very polite and helpful, especially Martina! Recommended! 🌟

08/03/2026: Fish dinner for two. ...I expected better. We chose eggplant and fish parmigiana for our appetizer—a great idea, but too salty for me—and a raw fish dish. For our main course, baked turbot with a side of vegetables. It was good, but the bones were poorly boned; I found the bones. To finish, the dessert. Wine by the glass was overpriced for the winery offered (€6.00 ​​a glass). My husband chose a second course, which was also poured into the same glass. We paid €153.00. The waiters were kind and friendly, but the service was a bit slow.
15/02/2026: Yesterday, Valentine's Day, lunch for 9 people. The place is impressive, with attention to detail. The owners are welcoming and the staff impeccable! The food is excellent, prepared with love and skill, from the appetizers to the first and second courses of fish, as well as the pizzas: definitely a good value.
