I'm not giving 6 stars just because you can't 😄 best lunch in Rome ever (and I've been to Rome at least 20 times!). EDOARDO fantastic waiter, I literally cried with laughter, not to mention his attention to detail: birthday candles on the tiramisu and a small complimentary bottle of wine.
More than a lunch, an experience, Rugantino rightfully in my top #3 taverns in Trastevere!!!
Speaking of food, how can we not mention the artichokes, the carbonara, the cacio e pepe but a special note for the Roman saltimbocca: so good that I couldn't even take a photo of it.

The best restaurant in Rome! The food is delicious and well served, the ambience is very typically Italian and the server was AMAZING. A reservation is usually needed but if you arrive right when they open their door as 12:30 pm you can get a table for a 2 or a small group. Do not skip this restaurant because the menu outside is only in Italian; they do have a menu in English. We ate a carbonara and the mix of 6
meatballs (polpetas) which we shared. They offer mezza bottles for a couple. BRAVISSIMO!

We ate in this typical Roman osteria in Trastevere. Welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent traditional dishes: both the first and second courses. Highly recommended. Certainly worth repeating.

Wonderful restaurant in the heart of Trastevere. The team is friendly and attentive, and the traditional cuisine is delicious. Special mention for the four pasta specialties, it's generous and delicious, perfect for a couple!

Let me start by saying that we started with a mixed palette of cured meats and cheeses, a superlative and irreplicable courgette omelette. Roman-style artichoke, which has recently disappointed us in other places, has made us reconsider the fact that there are those who do it for a living. What can I say? If the little pieces where they served us the trio of meatballs had been edible, we would have eaten those too! Impeccable oxtail, butter, AMAZING. Finally a quality tavern in Trastevere! Attentive and dynamic service, the guys are always available and very nice. We left with the promise that it will be our new fixed stop! You absolutely have to go to Regà oh!

We went for dinner on a Saturday evening after the Six Nations match, it was already late and we hadn't booked. After a short wait they set a table for us and welcomed us kindly, we opted for a selection of first courses - we know that rugby players are always very hungry 😄. The wait was right given that the pasta is cooked at the moment: tagliatelle alla Rugantino (a surprise), macaroni amatriciana (good), macaroni carbonara (good), tonnarello cacio e pepe (a bit anonymous for me).
A sincere and unpretentious wine from the castles allowed us to complete the dinner in a beautiful atmosphere. We were skeptical for fear of it being a tourist place but we changed our minds.

Cacio e pepe da paura cremosa e abbondante e carciofo alla giudea gustoso, tiramisù amaro e un buon vino rosso . Prezzi nella norma , servizio impeccabile , Edo e la ragazza , di cui mi sfugge il nome , professionali e simpatici si vede che amano ciò che fanno . Complimenti !!!!

Ancora un'ottima esperienza trasteverina.
Vi era stata mia figlia tempo fa, ed ha insistito perché ci andassimo anche noi.
Aveva ragione.
Ambiente tipico di trattoria, con divine polpette, trippa alla romana, carbonara e saltimbocca.
Immancabili cicorie ripassate.
Il tutto condito da un servizio cordiale e cortese.
Vino dei castelli romani ed amaro artigianale, il tutto ad un prezzo accessibile.
Se aggiungiamo una bottiglietta di vino da 50 ml. quale omaggio finale, il tutto è completo.
Molto bene.
