Great place, nice service, wonderful atmosphere. They have also a very easy system for on-line reservation, which I recommend using, especially in winter, as the inside room was full.

The Roman character of the place is definitely evident, from the waiters' way of speaking to the menu written in dialect. As for the food, there's nothing to complain about; traditional Roman dishes, wines from the Castelli Romani, everything as in a typical Roman osteria. The higher prices are due partly to the restaurant's history and partly to its location. The atmosphere is cramped and very busy; intimacy isn't typical, but the atmosphere is cheerful and convivial. I'd go back.

A typical Roman cave, with the basic dishes of the area. We visited in mid-November, and it's a good idea to book for dinner; keep in mind that if you don't show up, they'll charge you a no-show fee. The service was efficient and courteous; you just have to call them a few times because they get distracted very easily. The price is fair, considering its location in the Trastevere area.

After 17 years, we returned to Rome and returned to this osteria. This charming and traditional restaurant is located in the heart of Trastevere, and the food is sublime. The lamb chops and oxtail stew were top-notch! The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We'll definitely be back, perhaps sooner rather than later!

09/01/2026: Unfortunately, the pizza was burnt underneath. The atmosphere is very quaint and the staff is friendly.
07/01/2026: As tourists in Rome, my partner and I were looking for a warm and welcoming place where we could feel at ease...and we found it. The experience was so pleasant that we returned after a few days. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you sense a family atmosphere that makes you feel almost at home, filled with smiles, friendliness, and traditional aromas. It's an authentic trattoria, and I absolutely recommend it.

02/01/2026: A real osteria as expected and authentic food in very good quality.
30/12/2025: I wholeheartedly recommend it. Typical Roman food, beautifully executed and incredibly tasty. I'd go back tomorrow for a delicious plate of tonnarelli cacio e pepe with artichokes! The house wine was excellent and the service was very nice. The girls were attentive and kind. My only regret was not taking photos of the dishes, but I was too busy eating!
