Everything was very nice, I didn't give it 5 stars because unfortunately there wasn't even a dessert for those who are lactose intolerant ☹️

Excellent food. The shrimp and pine nut corsetti were very good. The pesto mandilli were the best I've ever eaten with pesto. The main course was baked fish and fried anchovies, both shared. Very friendly and helpful service. The price was perfectly in line with the food and location. If we ever go to Genoa again, we'll definitely be back!

I went to Antica Osteria Ravecca in Genoa with a friend. I had the mandilli pasta in their beautiful signature pesto, and then the steak. We enjoyed our food, which was delicious, well-cooked, and came in generous portions. The restaurant is located in the historic Ravecca district, offering a cozy and authentic atmosphere. Today for lunch we went to Antica Osteria Ravecca, where we'd been about two years ago. Everything was confirmed. For appetizers, we had a plate of breaded and fried anchovies, followed by ravioli al tocco, and fried calamari and anchovies. Everything was excellent! To finish off the meal, as always, I also had the cake, a soft and delicious torta della nonna with custard. It was so good I forgot to photograph it... The service was impeccable, the atmosphere quaint. A great confirmation!

The staff deserves a statue for their patient handling of the exuberance of a predominantly alcoholic dinner. Beyond that, the restaurant is meticulously maintained, both in terms of service and food: excellent dishes and a good wine list. The prices are a bit higher than average, but not excessive… perhaps justified by their reputation.

posto meraviglioso, accogliente, pulitissimo e super elegante. Cibo perfetto con grande varietà e sapori buonissimi, tutti piatti tipici e particolari che rappresentano genova alla perfezione. Personale gentilissimo e molto cordiale, una nomina speciale alla cameriera Martina che ha reso il tutto ancora più particolare, con una gentilezza pazzesca e con un sorriso vero che ci ha fatte sentire accolte e a casa.

Pausa pranzo in settimana gustosa e di qualità. Ampia scelta anche menù convenzionato per chi paga con buoni pasto. Piatti della tradizione ma anche alcuni un po' più creativi. Non la solita proposta

Her explanations of the origins of the dishes are fascinating, transporting you to a bygone era that comes to life through taste. Every detail is carefully curated, from the impeccable service to the warm, welcoming atmosphere that exudes passion and authenticity. The first courses with Genoese pesto are a touch of Ligurian tradition: fragrant, balanced...unforgettable. The elegant and spectacular cappon magro is a symphony of sea and land that expresses the most authentic Liguria. And finally, the "Gérard de Pardier" dessert is simply irresistible. The Scuderie dell'Astronauta is a must-see for anyone visiting Genoa; the cuisine is not just about flavor but a journey between tradition and fantasy.
31/10/2025: Discovered by chance, it turned out to be a great place for dinner. The presentation and ingredients are excellent, with a varied wine list. The owner is friendly and courteous (even the initial offering of cuculli was much appreciated). The atmosphere is pleasant and quiet, compliments to the chef.

Cruda e Cotta by Il Trofiaio

18/10/2025: Yesterday morning my current carer bought a jar of seafood ragù and a jar of pesto alla genovese from the legendary Trofiaio in Piazza Colombo 10 and 12 reds (watch out for the pen!): one better than the other, despite what some say on this website who vehemently maintain that the pesto from Trofiaio is prepared with parsley instead of basil, as required by the specifications for pesto alla genovese DOP.
17/10/2025: I discovered this shop a year ago and I'm very happy with it, lots of choice, everything fresh and of good quality at an unbeatable price.
