A truly convivial trattoria because you can sit with strangers at the table. The service is fast and the staff are truly friendly. The traditional Ligurian food is truly excellent. The freshly made farinata is amazing. The troffie al peto with green beans and potatoes is excellent, and the fried panissa is wow!!! The stuffed vegetables are also good. We stopped here, but the desserts looked truly inviting. All at a good price. We'll definitely be back. Oh!!! They don't take reservations.

Limited selection as I run out of food early on Saturday evenings.
Excellent wine from their own production.
Service could be improved.

A very traditional restaurant (family-owned for over 100 years) in Chiavari (Liguria), famous for its traditionally prepared farinata. Molto gustoso!

A typical old-fashioned osteria, with informal yet friendly service and traditional Ligurian dishes. We started with a truly remarkable freshly baked farinata, followed by minestrone alla genovese and crocchini (superb!). The desserts are also excellent.

Well-crafted traditional recipes. The citrus tart is exceptional, a must-try.
€30-40 pp, no worries.

A spartan place reminiscent of old-fashioned inns: tables where you sit side by side and the service is informal. The waiters are very kind and fast. The farinata and panizza fritta are exceptional. The cima genovese is very good, tender, and flavorful. The crème caramel is delicious and authentic. The price is a little higher than average. Overall, it's a pleasant experience. Recommended.

A spartan and basic trattoria. Table service is efficient and fast, also due to the fact that they don't accept reservations at lunch (but from what I've seen there aren't long waits anyway). Despite everything, the dishes are prepared on the spot. It has home-made cuisine made with few ingredients. The highlight is the farinata, the best I've eaten so far, without taking anything away from the cuisine, obviously. Excellent value for money. I recommend it to everyone if you pass through Chiavari.

On December 30th, I wanted to have dinner with some friends, not from Liguria, to let them try "our" typical dishes. We chose this trattoria, where the reviews from those lucky enough to dine there are positive.
After 16 unanswered calls throughout the afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM (deliberately made outside of business hours so as not to disturb the staff), we decided to go in person to check if the restaurant was open so we could dine.
We searched for and found parking for two cars.
We finally arrived at 7:43 PM. (Their website says it opens at 7:30 PM.) It was already packed with diners, with several people queuing outside. Upon entering, I was told to queue outside and ask who was the last one waiting for a table.
Honestly, this behavior reminded me of when I was in the military, when we'd have to queue to get into the cafeteria. Plus, my friends have a small child, and honestly, leaving him out in the cold and starving didn't seem right.
Now, I certainly can't judge the dishes offered, much less the service, or even the condition of the place, but the management—excuse the expression—is a little lacking.
I wasn't trying to reserve a table, but if only someone had deigned to answer the phone and calmly tell me they didn't accept reservations, we would have gotten to the door sooner.
I'm sorry, not so much for myself as for my friends who were passing through and then had to drive home for about two hours.
I'm sorry to have to judge a book by its cover, but after all, I wasn't given the opportunity to reserve it at the library, given the coveted request, and then be able to read it!!!
One more small note, to avoid being disturbed by phone, perhaps marking on the website that "reservations are not accepted" could make things easier for potential diners.
