When you arrive at Luchin, you are met at the door with a chalkboard menu. Review the menu and make your selections before you enter. There are no menus on the inside. Once inside, you will quickly notice that this is where the locals eat. Most ordered the farinata as the first course. The pasta and sardines were my favorite.

A historic restaurant in Chiavari serving simple, traditional Ligurian cuisine. Excellent farinata, stuffed anchovies, and much more. The prices are reasonable. The service leaves something to be desired, but there were only two waitresses. The atmosphere is simple; we ate outside under the portico. They don't take reservations, so we (there were four of us) had an early lunch and easily found a table outside. The anteroom area is charming, decorated with vintage photos commemorating the restaurant's 100-year history.

Excellent food: farinata, minestrone, and ravioli with a touch of class, all truly excellent!
I would perhaps recommend equipping the bathroom with a changing table for newborns, or at least finding a solution when a customer asks if there's a place to change their baby in the women's bathroom. After dinner, we had to return to the hotel because, unfortunately, there was no way to clean my baby. That said, the service was friendly, and the bill was in line with current prices, perhaps a few euros overpriced.

Very good, authentic food. The wait staff was attentive, quick, and always friendly. With so much positive, you almost forget the rather uncomfortable stools and the rather bright lighting. We're still thrilled.

Excellent Ligurian specialties, from farinata to minestrone, from ravioli aü tuccu to fried anchovies... I was able to make a reservation, and I think it's much better to do so, given how busy it is... Truly a great place, also for introducing Ligurian cuisine to friends who are visiting from out of town!!! Prices are reasonable for the excellent quality of the dishes!!!

Abbiamo cenato in questo locale dopo aver atteso fuori dalla porta circa 40 minuti...ma ne è valsa la pena!
La loro farinata, cotta nel forno a legna, è qualcosa di eccezionale, croccante e saporita!
Abbiamo provato anche le loro acciughe impanate e i loro ravioli di carne. Siamo rimasti colpiti dalla bontà e qualità offerte.
Un posto che consigliamo!
