A somewhat "hidden" restaurant on the edge of the historic center of Ferrara. We went there on the recommendation of the owner of the hotel where we were staying and we were very satisfied tasting typical local dishes.

Wow! We're so glad we took the chance to request a table in advance. This meal was so good. My husband had a piece of beef with bacon, and I had a pasta dish with white truffle. The dessert was also remarkable.
I understand that the mother, father, and daughter are in the kitchen. Hats off to the kitchen and the staff, who are fantastic. A very good team.

we returned after a few years, to this place and the experience was positive, like the other time. Rustic place, welcoming atmosphere, kind staff, excellent food. We asked for advice and then we chose typical Ferrarese dishes, paired with a locally produced wine. We will definitely return when we return to Ferrara. We recommend booking, otherwise you risk not finding a place. Even leaving our name, they didn't call us, however we waited outside. The place is located in the old part of the city, in one of the very characteristic streets

Day of ☀️we decide to spend a day in Ferrara.
Walking through the various historic streets we stopped to eat in this ancient tavern.
Since there was no room inside, they set a table for us outside.
We ordered platters of cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by various jams, ordered first and second courses and a good bottle of wine.
All very good and served in an exceptional way.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
I recommend it.

The platter of cured meats and pinzini is good, cappellacci worth seeing again, I don't like the giant cappellaccio format that I unfortunately see in many restaurants. Quite dry and stringy mutton. Good service, price in line with the Ferrarese reality.

Bello il locale e la via centrale dove si trova.
Servizio buono ma tempi di attesa un po'lunghi.
Cappellacci abbastanza insapori, fiori di zucchina nella media, tagliata buona ma poca, dolci insomma.
Prezzi penso nella norma per Ferrara.
