Excellent food, friendly staff... Updated as of 09/27/2024 The Caramel tavern has changed management for some time now, I was waiting to write a new review the first time I stopped to eat. Well, this didn't happen but I'm still reviewing the place, mostly to give more information to fellow truck drivers. "When they changed management I asked if they also cooked in the evening like the previous management did, the lady kindly told me no but for the truck drivers if they warned something could be done. Well, the opportunity arrives to take a break in Meolo, I stop at 5.30pm with the driving hours practically over, I ask for dinner and the lady on duty replies no, just a sandwich shop. Thanks, I go by truck and in the evening I make some excellent tagliatelle with meat sauce and have dinner. A colleague of mine goes to Caramel that same evening at 7pm and asks if he can have dinner with a friend and they say yes, pasta with sausage and a plate of mixed cold cuts because they had nothing else. Ergo I think they are simply out of sympathy, a piece of advice to colleagues... Fossetta is 5 minutes away, go there if you don't have more minutes to drive. However, I believe that at midday you can eat well, given the sandwiches and snacks they have (really well made), the cuisine will certainly be up to par." I forgot... The next morning the lady with whom I had spoken for the first time apologized to me and was amazed at what had happened, however it was right to inform my colleagues that maybe you eat at Caramel in the evening or maybe you don't.

We came here as a food stop during a trip, and everything was perfect. It was late, and the kitchen was closed, but they still prepared several dishes for us that were delicious, and at a very good price. The staff is wonderful, they didn't speak English and yet they did everything possible to communicate with us. The place is very nice. Without a doubt highly recommended.

We were driving from Venice to another destination and stopped here along the way. It is a great lunch spot close to the highway and very easy to find. The food was amazing, the staff was wonderful and very helpful. Highly recommend!
