A traditional restaurant with a bar, restaurant, and accommodations. We booked lunch on a snowy Sunday in early February. The menu features three starters and various main courses, plus an appetizer of local cured meats and cheeses. Free water and good draft wine. Helpful and very friendly staff.

A step back in time, this place takes you back to the original function and genuinely rustic style of mountain huts. Very quaint. The service and cuisine are those of a mountain hut, and rightly so. If you don't like it, go to the restaurant.

Typical mountain restaurant, simple yet welcoming, in the center of town, a stunning setting, especially in the snow. The service is friendly and very approachable.
A decent selection of dishes are available, good but not 5-star. Perhaps the preparation could be improved: my meat was lukewarm, the polenta wasn't exceptional, good, but perhaps it was made the day before. The legume soup was a bit too generic, with a prevalence of potatoes, carrots, and cabbage, not legumes.
The desserts were good, but I think the prices are high for the type of dishes.

We stayed for one night on a half-board basis. The place was fantastic, with limited entry to avoid the usual crowds at the facilities. The room was very welcoming and warm, all in wood, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. The dinner was exquisite, with an appetizer of local cured meats and cheeses, a good first course, and a second course of braised meat and polenta. The owners were very helpful and attentive. We'll be back.

I stayed there a few years ago, in the dead of winter. I loved the place: the valley is stunning, the rooms are beautiful, and we ate well, with typical mountain fare. I returned more recently for a day trip, in the summer, for dessert. Well done.

A truly wonderful experience.
We booked half board and stayed in the Villa Triste annex.
The room was very cozy with a private bathroom.
The dinner was delicious and hearty. We had gnocchi all'Ossolana, followed by polenta and sausage, and a slice of homemade cake.
The breakfast was simple but adequate.
The innkeepers were helpful and friendly.
An authentic, homely inn that I highly recommend!
