Seeing the photos of Mr. Libero's history and the restaurant took me back in time, with such tenderness.

An atmosphere I wasn't expecting at all. A typical old-fashioned osteria offering traditional dishes with genuine ingredients, as if they were cooked by grandma. The quality of the food is excellent, as is everything else (service, hospitality, atmosphere). Highly recommended for those who appreciate genuine food and the old-fashioned flavors of the past.

A cozy, family-run restaurant with incredibly warm and friendly service. The menu is explained personally and with great care, making you feel instantly welcome.
The ambiance is beautiful, the prices more than fair, and the food simply delicious. We had an excellent meal and were surprised by the quality you get for such a reasonable price.
Anyone looking for authentic, cozy, and affordable dining in Trieste should definitely visit this restaurant. Thank you for the fantastic food and the warm service!

Antica Hostaria Da Libero is a historic establishment where, as soon as you enter, you can feel the authentic atmosphere of times gone by. The service is excellent: friendly, attentive, and professional. The traditional dishes are carefully prepared, very tasty, and rich in flavor, respecting local cuisine. The quality-price ratio is excellent. A place definitely worth a visit for those who love traditional cuisine and a genuine atmosphere.

A old style restaurant about a 3 min walk from Castel San Guisto. It has a homey atmosphere and the staff were so friendly, our waitress told us the menu verbally and explained the different cheeses, which were local and delicious (can’t miss this). We walked in at 1:30 before closing and they were happy to have us, but I can imagine at dinner time a reservation would likely be required as there were a few people there already when we arrived. Overall such a delicious lunch and would highly recommend!!

The place is very quaint. They serve traditional and non-traditional dishes. The quality of the food is very good. I'd say it's a meat/cheese/pasta menu; we weren't offered any seafood.
The atmosphere was welcoming, and the lady who served us was friendly and kind.

It's nice that the menu is written in words, not on paper. The lady serving was very nice. The food was very good. However, I have a few issues. I heard a microwave oven making noise. I think it shouldn't be used in local dishes. The ravioli were very tasty, although they were in some kind of oil. And that oil was definitely not olive oil. It's possible it was the fat from the ravioli cheese, but I'm not sure. Overall, I recommend it.
