We visited this osteria to enjoy authentic Trieste cuisine. We were pleased with both the quality of the food and the friendliness of the staff. The place is very charming, historic, and full of memorabilia and photographs from the past. Prices are moderately low, and it's off the beaten path. I recommend it.

A small restaurant near San Giusto. Refined and delicious dishes, especially the chestnut and mushroom cream soup and the Fassona beef carpaccio. And to finish, homemade desserts.

We had dinner at this historic Trieste restaurant during our vacation. The value for money was truly excellent. The food was fresh and seasonal, especially pumpkin, chestnuts, and persimmon for dessert.

04/04/2026: I've been wanting to go to this place for lunch for a long time. I can say with certainty that the quality of the food is excellent. There's a wide selection of first and second courses. The menu focuses primarily on fish, shellfish, and mollusks. The pasta with spider crab and the pasta with clams are superb. The fried foods are beyond excellent. The price is reasonable for the quality. We left satisfied. The atmosphere and cleanliness are excellent. We'll definitely be back. Reservations are required, even during the week. Nevio Trieste
04/04/2026: We stayed nearby and ended up eating here two days in a row because the food was so good. Definitely recommended if you are looking for a spot that’s not too crowded and a bit outside the city center. Everyone was very welcoming!, - and a personal special shoutout to the waiter who is a total 'Berlin' (Money Heist/La Casa de Papel) lookalike. A man of few words, but his gaze says it all. 😉 Great energy, excellent food – I‘ll definitely come back when I‘ll be in Trieste.
