Antica Ghiacceretta In Trieste

The fried seafood is excellent, the other dishes (spaghetti vongole pistacchio, calamaro, scallops, etc.) much less so. Not spicy enough, very slow service, one of the five of us forgot a dish, which delayed dinner. A bit expensive for the overall experience. We probably won't try it again.

Our last evening in Trieste... On recommendation, we dine at this restaurant. Excellent dinner! Attentive service, good wine. In short, a few words... Go eat there.

In the heart of Trieste, nestled between the city's elegant streets and Central European charm, lies this restaurant, which proved to be a delightful discovery. The dining experience definitely lived up to expectations: the fish, the undisputed star of the menu, was fresh, well-cooked, and enhanced by carefully crafted, never boring, plating. The service, courteous and helpful, accompanied each course with discretion and expertise, keeping wait times short despite the crowds. The bill, while not modest (€99 for two, without dessert or wine), fell perfectly within the price range expected for a restaurant of this caliber and in this area. One minor point: the basket of bread and breadsticks. A detail perhaps, but not insignificant. The bread didn't seem freshly made and was sadly bland, if not downright unpleasant. From a restaurant that charges €4 per person for a cover charge, you'd expect much more—perhaps homemade bread, fragrant and worthy of the rest of the experience. Overall, however, we had a great time and would gladly return: it wouldn't take much to reach excellence.

High-quality food for excellent dishes. Price is in line with location and service. Highly recommended when downtown Trieste.

A Trieste in 2 coppie di amici x un fine settimana lungo. Buonissima cucina di pesce, assolutamente fresco . Locale prevalentemente frequentato -così mi è parso - da clientela locale . Ottima accoglienza riservataci dal vice del titolare , molto attento così come tutto lo staff . Non assegno 5 stelle solo perché il locale - nonostante diversi accorgimenti come ci è stato spiegato - risulta parecchio rumoroso ; ma la bontà dei piatti proposti fa passare la cosa in secondo piano . Complimenti !

Spaghetti with clams by the great chef Simone is something amazing, exquisite and unique in the world. With the XL bottarga it becomes “Da Dio”. Cosimo as the great general of the room makes customers feel at home. And the girls are really good, truly "the girls from Trieste". Congratulations to everyone. See you next time, see you soon.

Ambiente curato nei dettagli, pietanze di qualità e sapientemente cucinate e presentate. Ristorante di pesce, costo sopra la media ma assolutamente giustificati. Consiglio questo locale senza remore
