One of the oldest places in Palermo, between Vucciria and the marina. Excellent cuisine ranging from typical Palermo street food to traditional dishes. Staff always very courteous. Absolutely worth trying

A few weeks ago, we visited the Antica Focacceria San Francesco in Palermo. We tried several classic dishes, including Caponata (a traditional Sicilian eggplant dish), Panelle (fried chickpea chips) with lemon, Arancini, and Sfincione (Sicilian pizza focaccia). This was the best place for street food that we experienced during our entire tour of Sicily.

Very authentic. You will be surrounded by all the locals who come to get their meat, ricotta and parmesan sandwich. Try the deliciously hot panelles. The best in Palermo.

One of the oldest shops where you can eat Palermo street food in complete food safety. Very kind staff. If you want to try the sandwich with spleen maritato (that means with ricotta) and cheese you have to eat it here.

In Palermo, from the food point of view, there is better, the prices are average but paying €3 per person for service seems exaggerated to me. Such a renowned place should offer much more. Very disappointed
