This is a historic Palermo restaurant, but it doesn't justify the price of a focaccia, which costs 3 euros and 80 cents (maritata, which means with ricotta). There are better options in the city for half the price.

The street food portion is certainly adequate, but the restaurant has confusing service—at a table of 4, two dishes were the wrong ones, and nearby tables had similar problems—and we weren't particularly satisfied with the food.

It's 8:55 PM and I ordered a scallopine at 7:35 PM. Will it still arrive? I've already asked twice. Arrivo, arrivo. It should taste sensational... but it doesn't. So, I can't possibly give it more than 3 stars.

I succumbed to the call of the sandwich with panelle, croquettes, and eggplant. An explosion of authentic flavors that makes you understand what Sicilian street food truly means. Special thanks to Mrs. Valentina, so kind and friendly; her welcome makes you feel right at home. A place that will win your heart. Highly recommended!

17/11/2025: Kindness and quality distinguish this bar.
05/09/2025: Delicious artisanal croissants (the Pan Suisse is a delight), excellent pastries (the desserts with "gelo di melone" are superb). I tried their ice cream cake for an occasion with various flavors (the hazelnut gelato is top notch). The staff is always friendly. The place is clean and welcoming.
