After many years, I returned to Sciacca (Sicily). I wanted a sandwich and some panelle, and stopping at a baker who supplies them, he recommended Antica Focacceria Ignaro.
The panelle sandwich was excellent. He also made me try the potato croquettes, made to order. I have to say, they were amazing. The ricotta waterfall was delicious 😋, simple, quick, and high-quality.
We had the arancini (or arancini), call it what you want. I highly recommend it. It's very good and high-quality.

Incredible and tasty food. Perfect and light fried food. We had a sandwich with panelle and eggplant, arancini (with ragù and vegetarian), potato croquettes, and spectacular cassatelle for dessert.
The owner was super friendly and helpful.

This little fast food joint in the outskirts of Sciacca is delightful beyond belief. I’d say it’s almost worth going out of your way to experience it. As soon as I entered the place Mr. Ingrao welcomed us with some free panelle. We got a pane cunzatu which was juicy, savory and crunchy. The panelle sandwich was an explosion of umami too. We also tried the award winning arancina, which was textured to the heavens. Moreover, Mr. Ingrao truly seems passionate about his craft and a good conversationalist. Cherry on top is the price: 2 sandwiches, 1 arancina, 1 soda, and 1 cassatella as dessert for a mere 11.50 euros.

The best arancine we've had in Sicilia AND Italy ;)
Great taste, great filling. Also the canollo was tasty. The owners were very nice. Also English speaking.

I have eaten arancine/i all over Sicily. It is probably my favorite food. I can confidently say: This is the BEST arancina/o.
Stop looking. I would drive from Palermo, or Catania, or... hell, even Rome... Just to eat these again.
Ragù is my favorite. But the Santa Lucia is also delicious! Everything is freshly fried to order.
The filling: perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. Huge portion inside!
Rice: holds together well, everything you want from risotto.
Outside: freshly breaded and fried. Perfectly crispy.
This is it: *the perfect arancina*
Also: the panelle are fresh and delicious perfection too!

We've never eaten so authentically in Sicily before; we received a very warm welcome and tried a super delicious sandwich, an arancina, and of course, casatelle 😍 I would love to come back anytime, it was delicious! And thank you so much for the warm hospitality – I highly recommend everyone eat here.

Deliziosa sorpresa sulla strada per andare ad Agrigento,in quel di Sciacca! Arancine veramente eccezionali, pane cunzatu ottimo e anche il panino con la cotoletta una vera bontà. Meravigliose cassatelle a chiudere il pasto
Si respira aria di casa , cordialità dei gestori che ti accolgono e suggeriscono come rendere anche un pranzo veloce un momento davvero piacevole. Consigliato!
