We were there yesterday on Easter Monday, for a coffee break 🙂. Historic shop from 1764, a real must for the eyes and the palate, where you can taste the real krumiro as per local tradition, I add a note for the very kind and knowledgeable staff.

The eggnog with scab... Indescribable experience you just have to try it

I went to this place on Sunday afternoon. The environment is wonderful, well looked after down to the smallest detail, enough to make you say "I'll come in for a coffee". Inside you will find a vast selection of both sweet and savory krumiri, with many different flours and you will also find products for gluten intolerants, showing that you are inclusive. I had the pleasure of speaking with Massimo who explained the various products and flours to me and made me taste the krumiro with hazelnut flour and chocolate. I opted for a savory "gorgonzola and beetroot" version for 11 euros. Massimo then recommended a wine pairing and gifted me with 6 hazelnut and chocolate krumiri because the package to purchase was finished. A truly welcome cuddle.

We were passing through, attracted by a sign indicating hot eggnog, we decide to go in even though we had bought the krumiri in another place, we sit down, the gentleman who welcomed us was kind, we ask for two eggnog with krumiri, as per the menu, when he served us we were disappointed with a glass of eggnog we were only brought one krumiro each, for a place that produces them it is truly desolate, and to think that shortly before, where we bought the krumiri to take home we were offered two krumiri to taste on the spot. The place is full of krumiri specialities, perhaps a little too much for our taste. If I were to return I don't think I would stop anymore.

Eravamo di passaggio, attirati da un cartello che indicava zabaione caldo, decidiamo di entrare anche se avevamo comprato i krumiri in un' altro locale, ci accomodiamo, il signore che ci accolti e stato gentile, chiediamo due zabaione con krumiri, come da menù, quando ci ha servito siamo rimasti delusi con un bicchiere di zabaione ci è stato portato solo un krumiro a testa, per un locale che li produce veramente desolante, e pensare che poco prima, dove abbiamo comprato i krumiri per portarli a casa ci è stato offerto due krumiri per assaggiare sul momento. Il locale traborda di specialità al krumiri, forse un po' troppo per il nostro gusto. Se dovessi ritornare credo che non mi fermerei più.

Siamo stati in questo esercizio storico per una pausa caffè. Il locale storico con alcuni particolari e arredamenti d'epoca. Zabaione buono ma non artigianale e per quanto riguarda i krumiri buoni ma né ho mangiati di migliori sempre a Casale.
