Antares In Ragusa

Excellent pizza in the heart of Ragusa Ibla a stone's throw from the cathedral (see photo). Stunning place, even in winter where the large stone walls protect you from the cold and in summer they cool you down well. Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 Stars. The "Service" item is the only item under 4 stars and there is a reason: unfortunately we waited a bit long as the room was (fortunately) full and there was only one person taking orders and serving. In all of this I didn't feel like giving (and they didn't deserve) a lower rating for the service which actually deserves to be supported and encouraged. Nb: honorable mention for the waitress in the room who I never saw stop and who tried to do everything to facilitate the service. Good pizzas, some classic, others more elaborate. I tried the broccoli and the pumpkin one and found them very balanced. We took two slightly elaborate pizzas (the one with pumpkin and the one with broccoli, both with particular flours (kamut and 5 cereals), a chip for waiting, a coca zero and a water) and we stayed at around €20 per person. Fair price for the place and the quality of both the service and the cuisine. I don't have photos of the pizzas because we were really hungry when they brought them😂🥺

I'm a saint, I came on holiday or found a nice environment and tasty food with attention to detail, compliments to Benedetto's family, I recommend it

We were here in october with a group of ten. I think the food could improve, the pizzas were not the best but the desserts were amazing. The staff and vibes were very friendly and fun. Special thanks to Carmen and Horazio for their lovely service and help!

Tuna was delicious as was the pasta. The service was polite and hospitable. Definitely recommended! We don't understand the negative reactions.

Very good pizzas, gluten-free option guaranteed for coeliacs! Very nice little square not far from the plaza del duomo The only downside was that the service was a little long.

The restaurant's terrace is elegant and distinguished. At the foot of the church of Sant Josep, in the Ibla de Ragusa, enjoy exquisite views. However, the food is not up to expectations nor the price they charge. Although they ordered dishes that on the menu pretended to be typical Sicilian (zuppa di cozze and aubergine pizza) washed down with the country's wine (Ducs di Salaparuta) they didn't turn out to be much. Despite everything, I recommend the place because it is nice and the service is attentive and very friendly

Muy buen restaurante justo en medio de Ragusa Ilba. Nos recibieron muy bien y tuvimos un excelente servicio durante toda nuestra comida. Ambos tuvimos una buena copa de vino tinto que era muy bueno. Mi marido tenía los mejillones y luego los ñoquis con gambas. ¡Se lo comió todo y le encantó! ¡Debe haber habido al menos 2 docenas de mejillones! Tenía una pizza margarita con champiñones y alcachofas, muy deliciosa. Incluso las mesas y sillas eran agradables y cómodas. Con 4 páginas + de pizzas definitivamente hay algo para todos. De todas nuestras comidas en Ragusa, esta fue sin duda la mejor!

Good grillo wine, slightly small portions. Orange squid had a bit too much orange, strong flavour. Good clam linguine. Place full of cats. Fairly high prices

The service was spectacular, the waiter was very attentive and friendly, well prepared, made us feel at home, and wrote down every detail of the order specification. The pizza was not good, the dough was dry, the tomato was very watery, the mushrooms were not fresh, they were canned, but we loved the service and we would return for that reason.
