Angelina a Testaccio In Roma

Dopo essermi trasferita a Bologna, ritornare a Roma è sempre una emozione grande! Il calore della città e i suoi quartieri, le sue strade, soprattutto in agosto mi riempiono di gioia… come non ritornare da Angelina a testaccio? Il mio ristorante preferito… mangio sempre una carbonara Top e vogliamo parlare poi, dell abbacchio cotto ai Carboni? Siete sempre una garanzia per me.

Fantastic spot, with a beautiful rustic terrace to enjoy the sunset. Portions were huge & good value, staff are friendly and bilingual. Saturday night & most diners are Italian. The pasta here was my favourite of the whole trip.

We returned a year later and with pleasure to eat at Angelina's. We had dinner at this restaurant with a couple of Parisian friends who really enjoyed both the place and the food. the dining room staff is very helpful and kind, especially a young girl, an aspiring actress, who earns her living by working in the restaurant. Good luck young girl!!!

This is one of my fav place to go. I always bring my guests visiting me in Rome.

I used to frequent the place a few years ago, I went back recently and the quality is no longer what it used to be. I don't recommend coming here either for the food or the service. I'll explain: - the pasta does not have a great taste and is served in huge bowls for a small quantity - the rudeness of some of the staff, in particular the acidity of a waitress who always seems annoyed and shouldn't be given that it is a job in contact with the public - The desserts aren't that great either, very small and tasteless like the tiramisu which is served in a small glass I'm sorry because the place is also nice but if the management continues like this I won't go back again. Much kinder, however, are the boys and girls in the pub downstairs.

The terrace is truly gorgeous. We had a very good time, we had dinner, not too late. The service was fast and friendly! I definitely recommend trying their starter, it's delicious!

It quickly became one of my favorite restaurants in all of Rome. The food is excellent and very good value for money. The service is mixed. Many waiters are friendly, attentive to the customer and "on the mark". However, I noticed that when the restaurant is full, there is a sort of general hysteria among the staff. It can fit.

I went to Angelino’s, the downstairs sister restaurant of Angelina’s that opened about 4 months ago. I went here in June of 2024 and, without a doubt, this was the best dining experience I had, not only in Rome but in my whole month of European travel. Firstly, the food was incredible. We ordered the Roman appetizers which came with eggplant, meatballs, fried anchovies, smoked salmon and a tomato and bread based dish. All of it was insanely good. Everything was made with care and it really showed. For the main course, we all got pastas. My friends got the carbonara and I got the parpadelle with pulpo. All of it was great. You get a really good portion of food that is well balanced with nothing that is too overpowering. Everything was cooked perfectly. From the Al dente pasta to the beautifully charred octopus. Moreover, the drinks from the bar were so well made. We got the signature raspberry drink, whiskey sours, espresso martinis, and the old fashioned. There was a good amount of alcohol in each drink but they never tasted too overpowering or alcoholic. However, the most outstanding quality of it all was the venue and the staff. I am an English speaker and speak very little Italian. All of the staff were very nice and accommodating despite not speaking a ton of English. I felt very taken care of and at home. Additionally the venue was beautiful. When you come here, there’s an upstairs restaurant and a downstairs sister restaurant. The downstairs is so beautifully kept. The music, ambiance and decor was great. I cannot recommend this place enough. Yes. It is a bit pricey. However for the overall quality of your dining experience as well as for the quality of food, drink and service you get it is well worth it. Ultimately, I think it is money well spent and that the three out of five star title is far too harsh for this great restaurant.
