16/09/2025: A spacious and vibrant bar, open since 1929 in the heart of Breo, under the arcades and near the fountain and parking lots.
A city landmark, where a break takes on a relaxed and understated tone.
Under the arcades or in the bright interior spaces, the atmosphere invites you to linger: coffee, ice cream, desserts, and Neapolitan-inspired dishes offer enticing options.
There are numerous tables, inside and out, and the staff is distinguished by their kindness, courtesy, and attentiveness: personally, I've always enjoyed working with the waiters.
An interesting fact about the place: it was once home to the town's chess club; now it retains a profound cultural and social impact. An evening playing chess with Atul, an Indian chess player who traveled across the border specifically to challenge me, was unforgettable for me: they seated us at the raised tables, and shortly thereafter, many young people joined in, ordering at the bar and spontaneously contributing to the local economy.
Frequented by a diverse clientele, especially in the summer, it becomes a meeting place and a place for relaxation. The restrooms, though small, are functional.
A café to be enjoyed with pleasure and respect. A corner of history that continues to foster community.
16/09/2025: Gran Caffè Aragno is a must-see in Mondovì, thanks to its splendid location under the arcades of the historic center, offering an elegant and welcoming atmosphere at any time of day. With its numerous tables, it's the ideal place for a variety of occasions: from a sweet morning breakfast to a romantic evening aperitif, lunch, or dinner.
The cuisine is always meticulously prepared and high-quality, with seafood dishes particularly excellent. But the real highlight is the pizza, which I consider the tastiest in Mondovì: fragrant, rich in flavor, and always satisfying.
A place that combines tradition, taste, and an enchanting setting: highly recommended.
