21/08/2024: Good pizza and excellent staff, despite the large number of guests, the service is fast and friendly. Location on the edge of the main square.
21/08/2024: I express myself after having eaten here for 2 dinners, months apart in time.
The pizza is the "classic Neapolitan", therefore a little smaller than the usual ones you are used to in the area, with a nice high crust, thinly rolled dough, lots of sauce and little mozzarella. For my taste a little "watered down", while the base pasta is very good, tasty and salty just the right amount.
All in all the service is decent. The second time I went there there were 8 of us and they got my order wrong, almost completely. They initially delivered me a pizza with anduja (no one at our table had requested it), while I had ordered a simple focaccia, which fortunately arrived shortly after. They also delivered my baby croquettes (very good) on the same plate as the mixed fry ordered by a friend and intended only for him, obviously the waiter had not specified that they were the 2 orders served together, which in any case I don't find correct. It can happen to anyone to make mistakes, but like this?
Some of the staff are very patient and helpful, while others are too hasty and treat customers with disdain when they ask for clarification on some dishes and drinks, even believing they are "nice".
It is possible to order cans of tea, but this option is not specified on any menu, neither paper nor digital. Just as you can order a focaccia obviously.
The desserts all have the same (not modest) price, from the ever-present ones like tiramisu to those of the day, to simple ice cream. On both occasions I ordered tiramisu, the second time with Nutella, but it was still served with some kind of cream alongside. The presentation is very scenic: it is brought inside a moka coffee maker, with dry ice positioned in the lower part to create a smoke effect, all of which is curious but actually useless.
At the end of the meal they bring a selection of digestives (lemon, melon and amaretto/almond), certainly appreciated by those who drink them more or less regularly (not me).
It is not possible to pay in cash.
There is space both inside and outside, the tables are not many and they are positioned too close together, so much so that they bump into the neighbors' chairs when getting up. The space inside is in theory air-conditioned, but at the second dinner the entrance was left wide open and the coolness was not noticeable at all. Reservation recommended to allow the organization of tables. Nice location in the city center and overlooking Piazza Matteotti.
