Super friendly service, unhurried, unpressured, and they even gave us a complimentary liqueur. We ordered carbonara and lamb, and it was very good. For dessert, we shared a cheesecake, which was as good as the other dishes. We sat inside the restaurant.

Waitress Lucia was especially welcoming and made sure we were seated comfortably and proceeded to bring us some incredible simple but delicious food. We started with the Mita and Mita (half and half) which is. Charcuterie board of cold meats, cheese, walnuts, honey and bread. It was beyond delicious-the meats were each very presentable on their own and the each cheese was distinctly different. Very cool and pleasing. Next we had pasta with pepper and rigatoni with tomato sauce and bacon-both were beyond expectations and delicious. It was a great way to end a long day in Roma…Lucia is the hardest working woman in Rome BTW…can’t thank the restaurant or her enough for the positive experience. I highly recommend this restaurant while in Rome and the price was equally great.

Courtesy, cleanliness, fresh environment, excellent second course and side dishes. I highly recommend sorbet and artisanal ice cream!

The food was AMAZING!!! Best food I’ve had all over Italy! Andrea was so kind and showed excellent hospitality. Everything on the menu was delicious!!

Restaurant was recommended by our hotel concierge…truly a wonderful experience both on service, food and ambiance. I personally had the pasta with pesto and pistachios and it is the best pasta dish I have had thus far in our trip. Lucia was very attentive and a great server.

The BEST restaurant in Rome! Been here for 4 days and this is our third night having dinner here! We talk about it every day all day until we return at night!! The wine is delicious, the pasta has been the best in Italy. We’ve tried the lamb chops, salmon, bolognese pasta, cheese pasta, and the half and half cheese and meat board and it has all been perfection! Planning our next trip keeping this restaurant in mind for how close we book our hotel to it. The staff is so kind and welcoming and truly makes it a memorable experience to dine here. Thank you cafe amadeo for being a highlight of our Rome trip!

We had a great dinner at this small and quaint restaurant. A step above most touristy restaurants in the area. The service was good.

Will start by saying we enjoyed Amedeo so much that we went two nights in a row! There are 2 levels of indoor seating as well as outdoor seating. Friendly staff greeted us instantly and, at the time we went, offered us a table with/without reservations. Everyone was helpful but not overbearing or pushy. 1st visit we had the Carbonara pasta and the Ravioli, both were divine. The Carbonara was creamy and flavorful. The Ravioli had the perfect mixture of robust tomato sauce with sweet basil on top. For dessert we had the tiramisu which was just enough to split for a sweet ending to the meal! 2nd visit we ordered Lamb Chops and Pistachio crusted Salmon. My husband said they were the most outstanding chops he ever had and “if we weren’t in a nice establishment, I would eat the meat off the remaining bones!” My Salmon was cooked very tender on the inside with the nutty crust was the best combo. Dessert was the cheesecake, almost like a whipped cheesecake, very light and fluffy! Our server (both nights) was Mara, so kind, friendly and professional. Her suggestion for me of the Rose Prosecco was spot on! We love you Mara!! We saved for this trip to Italy for our 30th wedding anniversary so chances are slim to none that we will return but will DEF recommend Amedeo to any/all of our friends and on social media!
