L’arrivo nelle fantastiche sale del palazzo Papadopoli, gli affreschi e i suntuosi arredi valgono già la visita, ma questa sera veniamo per cenare ed assaggiare il Cook the Lagoon, il menu ispirato dal grande Norbert Niederkofler e proposto da un giovane ma già molto esperto chef. La cena è una rivisitazione di piatti tipici veneziani, con materie prime eccellenti, preparazione perfetta e presentazione degna dei migliori ristoranti stellati. Sapori definiti, ma equilibrati, piatti leggeri ma consistenti serviti da un gentilissimo e super professionale cameriere che ci segue per tutta la sera. Una cena eccellente, in un ristorante meraviglioso e per qualità e servizio, nemmeno eccessivamente cara.
There’s an air of James Bond when you pull up in the water taxi to this MAGNIFICENT building. The decor is grand, verging on imposing and you can literally feel the elegance and money oozing. Outstanding cocktail menu and bar although the wine was a little limited and expensive. Food was very good but the atmosphere was quiet despite being relatively busy. We had a vegan in our party who firmly believes she’s never met such an accommodating chef. Service was a little awkward and confused between who was doing what, which meant it was slow in places and dishes piled up on the side, etc (suspect at least one was in training).
