We went because my brother recommended it to us, since he was there on his visit to Florence and he told us that it is the place we should go if we wanted to try an authentic bistecca alla fiorentina and he was absolutely right. The place is very pleasant to go as a couple or with friends, whether to stop along the way or for a special dinner, although the atmosphere has an informal touch that makes it very cozy. The food, really good. The truth is that when we arrived and were greeted at the door by what seemed to be the owner, we did not feel at ease because he was quite distant, and even haughty, even though we had a reservation. Thank goodness Anna, our waitress, changed our minds. Their service was impeccable, professional and friendly and approachable at the same time. She saved dinner.

The portions on each plate were not too large and I enjoyed a variety of dishes.

Found by chance to get a little out of the tourist area, but selected by many guides. Very good, very friendly service, and an authentic setting

Delicious Bistecca alla Fiorentina.

Pleasant place, excellent food served by a new Roman girl on her first day of work, very kind and helpful, a little less so than her colleagues, who annoyed our lunch. When working towards colleagues and customers, respect is required. We will gladly return hoping to find the girl and a little more sympathy than the others. May the owner have the common sense of a true Tuscan.

Historic Florentine restaurant, the best Florentine steak! Every time I come to Florence we stop here. Relatively available on-street parking, starter not very plentiful, but both the ribollita and the main courses and side dishes are excellent. I recommend the onion with parmesan. Good quality/price. We always come back, recommended.

This felt like “the meal everyone was always talking about.” I spent three months in Italy and this was by far the best meal I had. I ordered the stewed beef with string beans and tomatoes, with a side of potatoes and a gin and tonic. Everyone on social told me their Steak Florentine is the best in the country though, so if that’s your jam, go with that. You won’t go wrong with whatever you order, honestly. Everyone’s eyes were rolling.

Everything was great. Amazing choice of food. Of course steak is something that most of the ppl will order but trust me there are regular delicious food on the menu too. We even came around 9pm w/o reservation and they manage to find us a place. The only small minus is that they dont have a strong ventilation so it was warm inside and slightly unpleasant to full enjoy this nice place

On the other side of the bridge, away from the center (but easily reached by bus), there is this little gem. The place is wonderful, especially the area below where there are the services and the open cellar. There are lots of seats so it's a bit cramped and due to the number covered the service is a bit slow. The display is beautiful with ingredients on display (including superb Florentine steaks which I will try next time), prices are average, perhaps a little high (especially the desserts) but justified by the HUGE portions. Fried Florentine style, very good and dry but a little heavy. Meatballs and potatoes absolutely worth trying. Tomato soup with fresh tomatoes, excellent quality oil and basil to try! Staff really friendly, helpful and attentive. I recommend booking because as far as I understand they are often full. An affectionate greeting and I can't wait to get back to you soon
