Popular prices, popular food, informal but still very friendly and helpful staff, absolutely recommended, frequented almost exclusively by local workers. €40 for 2 first courses, 1 mixed fried dish, 1 side dish, half a liter of water and wine. If you are looking for a typical place at super affordable prices, the Antico Nonzolo Trieste is for you

Here in Trieste for work I looked for the closest place to eat, elderly people outside the restaurant with a glass in hand. I immediately rushed inside...sweet surprise...typical old-time place...encore starters, 2 second courses, half a liter of white wine, half a liter of water, 2 coffees...46 euros! Highly recommended

19/02/2025: Siamo stati qui per San Valentino. Il menù era fisso con 4 portate. Tutto delizioso. Io non potevo mangiare uno dei piatti e sono stati gentilissimi a propormi altro. Prezzo assolutamente adeguato alla qualità dei piatti. Pasta con astice mio piatto preferito. Personale professionale e gentile. Ci torneremo!
07/11/2024: L'atmosfera calda e accogliente del ristorante, unita alla gentilezza del personale, hanno reso la serata ancora più speciale. Un menù originale e diverso con un ampia scelta dove ho apprezzato particolarmente il carpaccio di tonno e il sorbetto mango e rum. Torneremo sicuramente!

07/03/2025: The place itself is very beautiful, convenient to public transport that takes you directly to the center of Trieste, the only flaw is that it is in an incredible state of disarray. Having said that, the managers are very helpful, polite and friendly and it is right to give them a note of merit. Personally I was placed at the entrance next to the reception and the place was excellent!! I will definitely return, but it's a shame it isn't better kept!!
06/03/2025: We had a very relaxing two nights here. A beautiful place overlooking Trieste and tucked away in the forest. Very friendly staff who looked after us well. We’ll be back!
