The food was good and plentiful, and the staff was welcoming and professional. We had an exceptional experience, but I can't give it 5 stars due to the use of plastic cutlery, cups, and paper plates.

Today, on a day out in Pisa, after the canonical visit to the Piazza dei Miracoli, we take Via Santa Maria following the flow of tourists. After walking 300 meters, looking with a smug eye at the chaos of tourist-catching places that are all the same, with the butta dentro and those Italian pennants (spaghetti, pizza and mandolin) that are so appealing to foreigners, we come across a different menu, "alla bona", about ten tables (and not 600), only one occupied by three tourists who, seeing us reading the menu on display, urge us "sit down, it's fantastic", while Giacomo comes up to us and says, they are very kind to advertise me but we are closing, we reopen at 6 pm, they are already cleaning the kitchen, I tell him that in reality we were attracted by the Tuscan crostini, more than eating cuisine at three in the afternoon, well, it was a triumph, pappa al pomodoro, a slice of Tuscan bread with oil and salt, Pepper, garlic, and rosemary (an amazing oil), crostoni with wild boar pâté, one with peppers and pine nuts, and the last with a heart-warming chicken liver pâté, a delicious white wine made with the classic method, a slice of schiacciata-style cake (unfortunately I don't remember the name), with almonds, sultanas, and alchermes, and coffee with biscotti and Vino Santo. All accompanied by explanations of the dishes and ingredients, topped off by Giacomo's warmth (I remember, he was closing), who was a delightful host. A wonderful experience, enjoyable in the simplicity of these traditional dishes. If I return to Pisa, I'll definitely stop by to try the cuisine. Avoid the tourist traps and enjoy the authentic tradition.

Abbiamo provato 3 piatti (+1): pappardelle al ragù di cinghiale, tagliolini al nero di seppia e un tagliere di crostini. Tutti sono stati molto apprezzati, allo stesso modo. Forse mi aspettavo i fagioli all'uccelletta un po' più saporiti, ma va bene. Personale cordiale, politica green già ben descritta nelle altre recensioni. Porzioni buone, mi è piaciuta l'idea dell'entree con una barchetta di pappa al pomodoro.

Locale in una strada laterale rispetto a piazza dei miracoli. A pochissimi metri. Proposta di cucina locale con ampia varietà di gusti. Piatti ben lavorati con ottimo gusto. Ho assaggiato pici all' aglione e spezzatino di cinghiale. Interessante la proposta "green", che porta a prediligere stoviglie compostabili.
