Carefully following the owner's directions, given that the restaurant is located in a unique spot on Strada Statale 106, in the blazing August sun we arrived at what we might call a step back in time: an ancient olive mill that even centuries ago could and did provide refreshments to customers waiting to take home the oil from their own olives. The cool, air-conditioned space, divided into two spacious rooms, is steeped in the history of simple times gone by, yet still distinctive, like its cuisine, its sumptuous dishes, its house specialties, the varied home-cooked menu, the enormous fireplace, and the kind and attentive wait staff. We left the restaurant as if we had stepped out of a museum of Catanzaro cuisine, calm, full, and satisfied.

I agree with the positive reviews from many other users. The place is welcoming and the staff is friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is unquestionable. Excellent value for money. It's now a must-visit for me when I'm traveling to or from Catanzaro.

Absolutely excellent experience in the restaurant environment, the staff is very nice and welcoming, the owner is very communicative and has a family feel. The food was great, we had to try the visit a second time, where our suspicion that this is an exceptional cuisine was confirmed. We highly recommend both their restaurant menu and pizzeria. The environment breathes history and the ancient style of the olive grove. We will be back soon!

Making the atmosphere even more special is a wonderful nativity scene on the fireplace, warming the eyes and heart. The service is exactly as it should be in a true, high-end osteria: no frills, but solid, knowledgeable, and competent professionalism. Here, you can clearly sense the leadership of a highly charismatic host, an agronomist with oenological training, a great connoisseur of ingredients and the local area, who understands what it means to truly eat and drink well. The music also deserves a special mention: usually a detail that can be distracting, here it is thoughtful, discreet, and pleasant, perfectly integrated into the experience. And to finish, excellent coffee, with an excellent selection of Xelecto, which is anything but a given. It's not a Michelin-starred restaurant, and it doesn't claim to be: it's a true osteria, with a strong identity, character, and personality, that leaves its mark.
