After many years, we returned to Alla Vecchia Macina and found excellent cuisine and a wonderful welcome. When we spend our holidays in Val di Sole, Alla Vecchia Macina is a must-visit; it fills your heart and stomach. 😉 Thank you so much to all the staff! Well done!

I recently ate at this restaurant. The food was all excellent, from the fish to the traditional Trentino dishes. The setting and dishes were very well-prepared, with prompt and attentive service in a traditional setting. Definitely worth a try.

If you're passing through Val di Sole, stop by Vecchia Macina: it's one of those places that stays with you. As soon as you enter, the atmosphere embraces you: the scent of wood and rustic elegance immediately makes you know you're in the right place to unwind. The food is divine (the venison tartare is out of this world, and the first courses taste like real mountains), but what really makes the difference is the restaurant's soul. A special thanks goes to the two young ladies who looked after us: it's rare to find staff so young yet so knowledgeable. They were incredibly helpful, always smiling, and able to offer advice on every dish. They make you feel like a welcome guest, not just a customer. In short, well done everyone: excellent cuisine and a heartwarming welcome. We'll definitely be back!

A place where I expected excellent food – judging by other reviews. The atmosphere was great, but the girl serving us seemed like she was working there as a punishment. Unfortunately, the food wasn't excellent, and I left the risotto I ordered uneaten. The best dish was the scalded polenta with bacon. The beef cheeks were decent. The beetroot and ricotta mousse tasted bland, the semigredo was okay. The deer tartare was decent. Considering the excellent reviews from other guests, I was disappointed with what I got on my plate. It's a shame.

A small but welcoming restaurant in typical Trentino style. The main courses are excellent (especially the boneless pork shank), and the first courses are also very interesting. Recommended.
