This little sandwich place was recommended to us on the previous leg of our trip from a local and it did not disappoint. Arguably the best sandwich of my life! I had Il Tamburino with ricotta, honey, wilted broccoli rabe and Tuscan salami. Amazing. And our bartender/server went above and beyond! So happy. Add a local Negroni!

Excellent sandwiches! We stopped for a quick lunch before heading to the train station on our way back. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was very busy so we were lucky to have found the table for 7 people. The prices for most sandwiches are 7-9 euro, and they are big, rich and very tasty. Highly recommended!

We came here for lunch on the recommendation of the receptionist at the hotel where we were staying in Siena, and we were not disappointed. It's a young establishment that serves focaccias with spectacular fillings. Be sure to try the wines and liqueurs they serve. They don't serve desserts.

The food is delicious, but the service is average. The staff isn't friendly; the person in the photos doesn't even respond when spoken to. The experience would be much better if the service were warm.

La Vineria di Montepulciano

15/03/2026: We had a "little journey" platter with mixed cured meats and cheeses; tagliatelle with mushrooms and truffles; and pici with wild boar ragù. The platter was very good, but the first courses weren't so good... the pasta was cooked completely incorrectly, and it wasn't very tasty. We also ordered dessert, a cantucci tiramisu... average! Simple but very pleasant service. The seating was uncomfortable. Overall, a pleasant dinner, but room for improvement. We spent €88.10.
14/03/2026: The place and atmosphere were inviting. Excellent dinner shared with friends, with excellent wine and fresh Pici. Giulia's warm welcome and friendliness enriched our experience at Vineria; she was very kind and available for any food and wine recommendations. Highly recommended.
