Alimentari Du' Cose Da Berna In Siena

Passing through Siena and attracted by the many positive reviews, we stopped for lunch. The place was half empty and there were at least 5 guys at work in total. After standing still like two idiots for at least 10 minutes, a guy told one of the two girls present to let us sit down. We waited for a menu that was slow in arriving, not realizing that on the table there is a QR code to see what the place offers directly from the website. Once we chose what to eat we waited for someone to decide to come to us to take the order. Nothing. Finally, after almost half an hour, a guy passes by, we stop him and order (otherwise, we probably would have been there all along). Luckily the schiacciate arrived quickly, too bad they were only stuffed in the middle; all around there was only schiacciate ( too ) reheated and empty. Good, for goodness sake, but only in the central part and, honestly, for 10 euros a piece, they seemed a bit expensive, especially after seeing videos on Instagram where you could see something completely different. A little more attention to the customer and a little more substance in the schiacciate wouldn't hurt

Very nice place, very fast service, the only thing I asked for was to put a tissue paper over the cutting board to avoid contamination with the cutting board itself... they didn't do it... (I'm celiac)! 😞 the rest was all ok

One of the best places I have eaten in Italy so far, which is saying something. All of the servers are very nice, the food was outstanding. The bread was crunchy but soft inside the way it ought to be, and the flavor and freshness of the ingredients was amazing. Good cocktails. Refreshing and healing food for both body and soul, since it is well balanced but also makes you very happy. Would reccomend!

We stopped here for a pre-dinner drink as it looked chilled. Ended up staying here and eating the Schiacciata and having several glasses of wine. An unexpected treat and very enjoyable experience.

Best sandwich I have had ever!!!!! Didn't take a photo because it was so delicious. Fresh, tasty, large & well priced. Large venue, with lots of seating. Really nice friendly staff. I will be returning again & again! I recommend the raw ham, brie & pistachio pesto panini.

“Du cose da Berna” è una vera e propria gemma nel cuore di Siena, ideale per una pausa pranzo veloce ma gustosa. Siamo stati lì nel primo pomeriggio con mia moglie e mia figlia e, nonostante fosse l’orario di punta, abbiamo trovato facilmente posto fuori, mentre dentro il locale era piuttosto pieno. Il menù offre una varietà di schiacciate farcite con ingredienti freschi e di ottima qualità. Noi abbiamo scelto una schiacciata a testa, e ogni morso ci ha convinti della bontà dei prodotti selezionati. Il servizio è stato impeccabile: personale attento, professionale e molto amichevole, che ci ha fatto sentire a casa. Inoltre, il locale si trova in una via suggestiva, che aggiunge al piacere di un pranzo in un contesto così affascinante. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un pranzo rapido ma veramente delizioso!

Simple et efficace à noter que cet établissement n’est pas un « restaurant » mais une sandwicherie - la carte ne propose que des sandwiches typiques de la Toscane et des planches de charcuterie.
