Felt like we were in Nona's. Very small restaurant but the food and service spoke very loudly in a positive way. Service felt very homey and comforting and everyone who helped us were in a good mood. We started with the mozzarella and prosciutto which was simple but delicious. Main course we had the mushroom risotto and the Amatriciana, both felt like home cooked meals. Would 100% come back when in Rome again.

To say that eating here was one of my best memories of Rome is an understatement. The staff were incredibly kind, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the food was even better. They served us water several times after we'd finished the carafe, and our dishes arrived quickly. We're used to eating lightly salted food, and the gricia seemed salty, but my parmigiana was the best I've ever had. The interior is reminiscent of the restaurant in Dinner with Gassman and Sandrelli. Overall, it's truly a restaurant with nothing to complain about.
If you don't mind sharing a table and enjoying good food, this is the place to be.

This place has just become one of my favorite restaurants in Rome. The pasta was delicious, and the ox tail (Coda alla Vaccinara) was to die for! Highly recommended!!

The eggplant parmigiana was, without question, the best I’ve ever tasted—rich, tender, and unforgettable. If you ever find this little gem, go with someone you adore. Share a carafe of red wine, indulge in the cacio e pepe, the delicate ravioli, and the luscious lasagna. It’s a meal made for falling in love.

Cuando venimos a Roma, siempre venimos aquí. Es nuestro restaurante favorito en Roma. Los propietarios siempre nos reciben con los brazos abiertos sin importar cuántos años hayan pasado desde nuestra última visita. Esta vez no fue diferente. Mario estaba muy contento de vernos. Nos presentaron a un nuevo servidor, Mimo, que cuidó de nosotros, así como de Mario. Disfrutamos de su casa de vino blanco. Mi esposo tenía su lasaña clásica – una porción generosa de carne y queso lasaña – él era un campista feliz. No podía esperar a saborear su delicioso guiso de rabo de buey, dos grandes porciones de rabo de buey cocinadas perfectamente en una deliciosa salsa de tomate. Estaba en el cielo.
Volvimos dos veces más para disfrutar del ambiente y la delicia de Alfredo e Ada. Volví a comer el Oxtail en nuestra próxima visita que fue igual de delicioso que la primera vez que lo disfruté. A mi marido le gusta mucho su clásica lasaña, así que volvió a tomarla. En nuestra última visita, tuve el mejor Cacio e Pepe. Fue absolutamente perfecto. Mi marido tenía su Saltimbocca alla Romana con patatas asadas. Huelga decir que estaba en el cielo culinario como yo. Si vienes a Roma, debes venir aquí. Mario y Mimo le dará la bienvenida!
