Polite, courteous staff and great food. - here you not only get the original fettuccine dish but also an experience. Be sure to order with truffles. I recommend making reservations in advance.

Famous shop among people here For Thai people, the taste may not be to your liking. There is a demonstration of making fresh and greasy fettuccine in the Italian style. The steak is quite tough. There is no gravy. You have to rely on salt and pepper. The restaurant requires reservations, with very long queues. Many famous Hollywood stars from the father's and senior's generation come to stop by and try it. Many people took pictures of the sweet food at the end, which was the most delicious (I don't know what to call it. There is cocoa powder sprinkled in too.)

This is apparently where Fettuccini Alfredo is from. My wife had it. She said it was the best pasta she had tried all trip. They mix it fresh table side as they tell you the famous story of how and why it was created. Nice touch in my opinion. We had dome starters that were quite good too. Desserts were tasty, buy no really memorable. Service can be a little bad as it fills up quickly. I expect more, especially at this price point. But overall best dining experience we had in Rome.

If you want to visit, make sure you have a reservation. I waited for approximately 1hr and 45 min to be seated without one, without an estimate at the time I arrived. I was just told to wait. I had the alfredo because that’s what they are known for. It wasn’t anything spectacular. Just overpriced pasta for tourists at a mediocre taste. It was good to visit but I doubt I would go for a second time.

We went based on the recommendations of travellers. They said it was the end of lunch service and there was only alfredo. Since we went there to try alfredo, we sat down. It was one of the most delicious pasta I ate in Rome. The waiter was also very polite. It was stylish and beautiful, appropriate for a historical place. I would like to try other dishes too.

14/08/2024: Our first place that we stopped at in Rome as we it was so close to our Airbnb location - quite literally around the corner. Staff were friendly, seated us quickly, and were ready to take our order whenever. I had a very large beer for around 8 euro (not bad considering the size of it) and my girlfriend and I split a pizza that we enjoyed. Definitely a nice little area to quickly grab a beer, pizza, pasta, and more.
13/08/2024: More lights than shadows. The food has been good… even very good. The fantastic carbonara. The pasta al aglio acceptable. The Caesar salad was good and the meat (filleto di manzo) was very cooked but very good quality. But the service has many opportunities. Very slow and clueless. And to finish, the. Hears it from hot Chianti... and brings us a glass of ice so we can drink it. Let's cool off… (3 pastas, 2 meats, 1 beer, 1 water, 1 bottle of Chianti €142….. very good for Rome) Maybe not to repeat but it wasn't bad at all

13/07/2024: I have never eaten such good gricia cooked to perfection with a sublime cream, the same goes for my wife's carbonara. In this place you take a dive into the past, note the still working refrigerator from the fifties/sixties. I had a good time and will definitely go back.
07/07/2024: An old-time tavern renowned for its quails. Very peppery food, but respectful of Roman tradition.
