I went to this restaurant twice within a few months. In July I ordered the spaghetti Alfredo and it really is a wonderful experience. It's an event, I highly recommend it.
I went back in November and ordered spaghetti alla vongole. I had wanted to try it in July and since the experience had been wonderful I thought it was worth going back. It was a disappointment. It lacked salt, it lacked seasoning. Not even the vongole, which I love, had any flavor. A shame.
Their wine list is very good, the atmosphere is excellent, and the service is also very good. But, due to my bad experience on the second visit, I think it's only really worth it for the spaghetti alfredo, which, it seems, was created in this restaurant.

While in Rome, we wanted to try the originator of Fettuccine Alfredo!
We did reserve a table for a la carte option online and although the restaurant looked full, it seemed they could accommodate walk-ins at opening time (6:30pm) in November.
The place looks historic with many celebrity/VIP photos on the walls. Host and severs were nice.
Started off with Aperol Spritz, some bread and olive oil, and Giuda Artichoke. Artichoke was crispy but definitely on the oily side. For entrees we of course ordered the legendary Fetticune Alfredo (which is made tableside) and the Arrabbiata Spaghetti. The Arrabbiata sauce was amazing and had so much depth in flavor. Definitely a little on the spicy side.
The Fetticune Alfredo lived up to the hype. The noodles were delicately light and the sauce was super smooth and velvety. The server preparing the dish explained to us the inception and history of the dish.
Great place to dine at for dinner!

A historic restaurant, certainly iconic.
From the welcome to the service, the wait staff is extremely attentive.
The dishes are tasty and beautifully presented. We, of course, tried the fettuccine mantecate al tavolo, a rich and delicious dish in which the parmesan cheese takes center stage. The porchetta served with the pizza bianca is also excellent.
The wine list is well-stocked.
The dining room is spacious, but the tables are very close together, which compromises privacy. This is a choice that is detrimental to the high demand; reservations must be made in advance on their website. The decision to charge the full amount of the menu chosen at the time of booking online is questionable; extras and drinks are paid on-site.

We booked a day in advance but noticed they also accept walk-ins. The food was divine, the wine delicious, and the service spectacular. The experience was very pleasant, and the portions were very generous. I would definitely return. Highly recommended!

Service was good, the waiter tells you the backstory behind introducing Fettuccine Alfredo at the restaurant. The taster course was nice but I would say a bit overpriced for what you get. Having the Fettuccine alone would have been fine in hindsight. Would recommend 😌

A €40 deposit per person is required and will be deducted from the bill.
They have approximately three food reservation categories.
I chose Absolute Fettuccine.
They serve Alfredo fettuccine, water, and tiramisu.
The fettuccine tasted different than we're used to, but it was good.
I ordered it with truffles.
The tiramisu was excellent.
If you order additional dishes, they are definitely charged separately.
We ordered a tomato salad, which was good, and we also ordered steak, shrimp, and fried calamari. Honestly, it was below average; we couldn't finish it. The meat was tough, the shrimp was hard to peel, and the calamari was choking.

A beautiful evening and excellent pasta. It's expensive but service is top, great experience overall. Alfredo pasta was very good. I would recommend that you try here once, and eat a la carte.

This restaurant is super popular so make sure you have a reservation or you will be stuck in a line waiting. Food was great service was great. Many items were priced a little high and the large group of people waiting for a tables made it very noisy. Thank goodness, they all weren’t smoking at once. We were lucky with the smokers, waiting to the end to light up.
