Alfredo alla Scrofa In Roma

The signature pasta was moderately tasty. Our mistake was ordering white truffle with it. We love truffles and always/often order dishes with white truffles. This one was the absolute worst: a complete lack of truffle aroma and flavor. A complete disappointment. For 80 euros (the price of a serving of truffles in one pasta), you'd expect more than tasteless white leaves on your plate. But the pasta itself was delicious. The atmosphere is typical of a Roman restaurant. The service was a bit haughty, as if they were doing you a favor by preparing your food and condescendingly explaining what and how you should eat it. I doubt we'll ever come back.

I came to Rome and met a local who was born and raised in the city. They showed me around the best local places in Rome and made it a point to take me here via recommendations from his local friends. It’s an elegant atmosphere with superb food. The history is what really sells it. Coming from the US, Alfredo is not made the true Italian way. Trying their famous original Alfredo dish, I am blown away and will come here every time I return to Roma.

Not a bad location, with walls adorned with photos of famous people. The menu lacks typical Roman dishes. The little I was able to try was of terrible quality compared to the price and expectations. The amatriciana (prepared with mezze maniche instead of bucatini) was salty and cold. The carbonara... ditto. The fettuccine Alfredo was overcooked and bland, but above all, we tasted at least 200g of Parmesan cheese and the same amount of cooking water: unacceptable for the modest sum of €25. The dessert section was acceptable, as was the corresponding wine section. The staff (at least that one) was welcoming, polite, and professional. All in all, a terrible experience that I obviously won't repeat. The complaint isn't about the price itself, but the quality/price ratio. I'm sorry.

Always good...👌 Very special food experience

We got the tasting menu for 80€ per person. It was 5 courses each one was spectacular in their own way the Alfredo was creamy and light and delicious the dessert was so delicious it was one of my favorites. We also got espresso martinis and Apperal spritz. Both were phenomenal. Service was also excellent. There was little to no wait between courses. 10/10 will come again

This is the real pasta here. Was the most delicious and satisfying Alfredo pasta ever. The service was 5 star. We also got to see the gold spoon

The place is very high-quality, the pasta is truly as delicious as they say. We went as a family, and after my parents were served, they said the large plate was for princesses and handed the large plate to me. It was a very enjoyable experience, you should definitely try it! 🫶😭💗🙈🫠

Absolutely wonderful experience! The pasta was divine — perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and clearly made with great care. The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant and cozy, making the whole evening feel truly special. A must-visit spot in Rome!

The famous fettuccine was great, but I ordered a lamb chop which I expected grilled and it came breaded. Very weak. Also, the spaghetti I ordered to accompany it was extremely poor. I recommend sticking to the fettuccine.
