29/04/2024: I was expecting a casual place with casual service and paper placemats. But I was wrong: it's a really nice restaurant, very clean from the bathrooms to the large rooms and the spotless tablecloths. Courtesy reigns supreme, without intrusiveness but with a lot of form. The cuisine is good, fresh and generous and also includes fish alternatives and a nice vegetable soup for vegetarians. The house red wine is excellent, the mixed grilled pork cooked to perfection and the tortelli with ragù have thyme that perfumes the filling as per Lucca tradition. Perhaps, if I have to find a flaw, the tortello should have been cooked a minute longer, but this does not take anything away from the more than positive experience which will lead us to definitely return to Bellavista.
