Albergo Belvedere In Santa cristina gela

I absolutely recommend this place! Santa Cristina Gela is a beautiful small and beautifully situated village. There is not much to do, but the people are super friendly and the town has a nice atmosphere, also thanks to Albergo Belvedere! We stayed here after the first stage of the Magna Via Francigena and the owners Giovanni and Mimma welcomed us very warmly. Giovanni is also a good chef and we enjoyed both the delicious dinner and the energetic breakfast. This place completely recharged me to be able to complete the second tough stage of the Magna via. Giovanni and Mimma, it was very nice to meet you and thank you for the good energy during our Magna via. Grazie Mille !

Great hospitality from Giovanni and Mimma. Highly recommended as a stopover when walking the MVF. The food is exceptional, the cannoli and ricotta the best I’ve ever had.

Mimma and Giovanni are exquisitely kind, as are all the staff. Excellent cuisine in an almost historic setting - when Visconti filmed "The Leopard" in the early 1960s, the workers and great actors of the time such as Burt Lancaster and Claudia Cardinale stopped right here, says the town. One more reason to return, research, delve deeper, and enjoy the welcome of Mimma and Giovanni, the scent of a natural environment full of solar power and a drop of that authentically nostalgic scent that is almost no longer found.

What a gem along Magna via Francigena. The owners, Mimma and Giovanni, greeted us very warmly and there was nothing they would not do for us. The hotel was very clean and practical. The room was warm with a hot shower. The WIFI worked well. We had no idea the meals be be so good. We had pasta for lunch and pizza for dinner, both were perfect, just what I was hoping for when we decided to take this walk. Highly recommend. I would love to stay at this lovely hotel again.

Fantastic inn for (winter) pilgrims. Welcoming reception by Giovanni and Mimma, delicious food and comfortable room. Good stop between Palermo and Corleone on the Via Francigena to Agrigento. It is not without reason that the guestbook (part 1 and part 2, which can be viewed on site) is full of positive reviews from all conceivable countries.
