Came here last year and although the menu has changed the service and quality definitely hasn’t! Amazing food and the service was just as good Don’t worry if it is a little cold as they have heaters outside which provide good warmth If you have allergies they cater to it beautifully as the menu has numbered allergens on it and alter dishes for you

Vor etwa 13 Jahren waren wir das erste Mal in der Albergaccio. Das Restaurant hatte schon einen Michelinstern, dann keinen, dann wieder einen, jetzt wieder keinen. Völlig egal. Das Essen ist durchgängig top. Die Portionen sind so, dass man drei Gänge essen kann und auch noch ein Dessert reinpasst. Preislich liegt man dann in einem Bereich, der mehr als angemessen ist. Natürlich nicht billig, aber den Preis wert. Geschmacklich großartig. Fantastische Weinkarte mit allem von preiswert bis jenseits meines Budgets. Unglaublich freundlicher, toller Service. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Jahr.

There were five of us looking to have a long celebratory farewell lunch. As it transpired we were the only people booked into the restaurant on this cold January Wednesday (heavens knows why given how overall excellent it is) and the owner had seated us on the upper level next to the open fireplace which was providing much needed warmth. The ambience was excellent. The furnishings refined and elegant. There were two set menus. The first offered five courses for EUR70 (with five matching wines an additional EUR35). The second had three courses for EUR50 (with three matching wines an additional EUR25). We chose from the A La Carte menu which had a selection of five starters (EUR18 - EUR20), four entrees (all EUR20), five mains (all EUR28) plus Chianina beef which was EUR70-EUR75 a kg. We started with an amuse bouche which was a large serving of Ribollita soup. Then various of us had the risotto with pigeon sauce, the home made Tagliatelle with pheasant ragu and chestnut sauce, tortelli filled with typical salami ragu and the potato gnocchi with pecorino cheese cream and beetroot and black cabbage. Mains were tagliata with grilled vegetables, the grilled duck breast and the Chianina beef. All of the dishes were thoroughly enjoyed. My gnocchi and tagliata were delicious. The house made bread was excellent and there were even warm bread sticks, The Desserts were a work of art as were the petit fours. We shared the Cremoso (saffron and white chocolate with apple and apple sorbet), the ice cream and gelato selection and the selection of three different deserts from the pastry chef (EUR12 to EUR16). Divine! Wine list was extensive. We had a fantastic bottle of 2015 Cellole Chianti Classico for EUR45. Service was superb. The dishes well well spaced and the owner was very unobtrsive. Will definitely visit again.
