Albacco In Asti

We arrived in Asti by motorcycle for the antiques market. So for lunch, we stopped by this restaurant, where we luckily found a table. We opted for two set menus, one fish and one vegetarian. From appetizers to dessert, water, wine, and coffee, everything was included in the truly excellent price. Everything was delicious! The owner was truly kind and friendly, the staff was courteous, and the service was fast. When I come to Asti again, I'll definitely be back here.

A lovely restaurant in the heart of Asti, serving meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes, with a nod to Piedmontese culinary tradition. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the service was very prompt, exceeding our expectations. It was a Sunday, and the restaurant was quite busy. Prices are reasonable.

Closed for holidays August 10-17, 2025 There are various menus, starting at €12 with various all-inclusive options. Combo 1 includes a first course, second course, side dish, dessert, microfiltered water, a glass of wine, and coffee. This little place is under the porticoes of Piazza Alfieri. I've had lunch there many times, and it's been a pleasure. The sheltered porticoes allow you to eat outside in any weather. The house wine deserves a special mention (the sparkling white is special, but the Barbera is also pleasant). Very clean and tidy, including the bathroom. Among the desserts, I have a weakness for the crème brûlée. The lasagna, made in many ways, is delicious. The plin with Barbera sauce is very light and flavorful. The Bra sausage is a real discovery. The variety of dishes is varied, all expertly prepared by the young chef. __________________ Among the first courses, I'd mention the excellent tajarin with a delicious sauce (e.g., anchovies the first time, or olives and sun-dried tomatoes) and perfectly cooked. For the second course, for example, I had an unusual (for me) smoked swordfish with arugula, fennel, and mushrooms. The dessert was a coffee + chocolate cake + ice cream. For dessert, we had a wide range of bunet (a type of pastry), sorbet, panna cotta, melon, etc. (every time a surprise). Excellent value for money.

The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. A la carte options are also available. The location is central, with plenty of parking right in front.

Clean and welcoming place. Kind and helpful staff. Excellent food, excellent value for money. My husband and I come often and I highly recommend it.

Good food but they are disorganized, they brought me a dish from another menu, it has never happened to me, prices a bit high, 2 Sunday menus and 2 coffees 44 euros
