For the first time in this restaurant, the penne al pomodoro was excellent, the spaghetti alla norma was equally excellent, not to mention the veal cutlet Palermo-style, delicious.

Excellent caponata, fast service, and honest cuisine. Good contorni salads. The strong point is the price; it's truly a bargain for the quality. You can eat a starter, main course, and drink for just fifteen euros. We highly recommend this authentic place.

A genuine place, home-cooked food prepared with love (it's like having lunch at grandma's) and truly reasonable prices (pasta with squid ink for 9 euros!). Highly recommended.

The squid ink pasta is exquisite. No. 1 in my life. Is there tomato sauce mixed in? A taste I've never had in Japan. I want to visit Palermo again just to eat this. Please continue to preserve this flavor. The swordfish was also delicious.

In occasione di un viaggio a Palermo sono stato due volte a pranzo al vecchio ristoro. In sala il boss Salvatore e la bellissima signora Giovanna, professionale, elegante, educatissima, potrebbe dare lezioni di classe e stile a certe professoresse che conosco. Insomma una gran signora come oggi ve ne sono poche. Cucina fenomenale, ricordo la pasta con broccoli, la caponata, le verdure grigliate. Da bere un bel bianco siciliano, e per concludere un gelato cassata veramente strepitoso. Ho visto, ma non ho bevuto trattandosi di pranzo e non cena, una bella selezione di grappe e whisky, anche questo un dettaglio importante. Prezzi incredibilmente bassi, non dovrei dirlo perche' cosi' li spingo ad aumentarli ma e' un dovere nei confronti di chi legge le recensioni. Il vecchio ristoro del corso rimane uno dei miei ristoranti preferiti non solo a Palermo ma proprio nel mondo, lo consiglio e sicuramente tornero' non appena mi rechero' di nuovo a Palermo. giovanni
