Excellent food, service not very friendly, but ok.

Al Timon is a typical Venetian place, ideal for enjoying cicchetti and spritz in a lively and authentic atmosphere. Excellent selection of traditional dishes, fresh and well prepared. The service is fast and friendly, perfect for an informal break or an aperitif with friends.

Point of reference for cicheti and spritz on the fondamenta. I used to go there many years ago when I studied in the most beautiful city in the world, I always go back when I can. The cicchetti are highly recommended, there is no better combination than another, they are all exceptional! Stunning atmosphere, very kind staff

Recommend. I was looking forward to dine here and it was worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful on the food and wine we had. The meat very very good. In all this seafood that you can find in venice in my opinion this is the best spot go eat a fresh and good stake. If in venice this is a must try. Portion generous.

Al Timon is a cozy, tucked-away steakhouse right on the canal with a charming and laid-back vibe—perfect for a casual but memorable evening in Venice. It doesn’t seem like they take reservations, but we arrived around 6 PM and were seated right away with no wait. If you’re hoping for a seat by the water, arriving early is probably your best bet! To start, we ordered a plate of cicchetti (Venetian-style small bites), and wow—absolutely worth it. The salmon was incredibly fresh, and the salami, sourced from a nearby deli, was full of flavor and perfectly cured. We had originally planned to try both the Florentina steak and the lasagna, but our waiter kindly advised us to start with the steak first, since it’s served family-style and meant for two. I’m so glad we listened—there was so much steak! It was juicy, rich, and beautifully cooked. Paired with the thick-cut fries (which deserve a shoutout of their own), it ended up being more than enough food for both of us. Al Timon is the kind of place where the food, the setting, and the hospitality all come together to make a really special meal. Whether you sit inside or grab a canal-side table with a view, I highly recommend adding this to your Venice dining list—especially if you love steak and authentic local charm.

I do not say this lightly: possibly the best bar anywhere in the world. I don't know what it is but there is something about this place. It is life affirming. Every single person I have brought here has agreed, yes, everything is perfect, but more importantly, there is something in the air. The place is unique, incredible, a whole other world. The best bar I have ever been to, and yeah, possibly the best in the world
