Just a few kilometers from Udine, we discovered an ancient trattoria hidden in the heart of Friuli.
The historic trattoria "AL POSTIGLIONE" was founded in Campeglio in 1938. It is a well-maintained restaurant with ample parking, where we found tradition in the warm atmosphere of the fireplace that illuminates the space. The wide selection of dishes on the menu is based on traditional Friulian dishes to suit all tastes. We enjoyed an excellent grilled Florentine steak, carefully prepared by the young chef, and tasted the excellent local wine. The service is excellent; the young managers are always present but never intrusive. Definitely worth a try to savor the Friulian cuisine of yesteryear.

We went to Trattoria Al Postiglione and had a truly wonderful time.
The staff—four very kind and knowledgeable young people—welcomed us with great attention. We ate a truly delicious rib-eye steak with potatoes, cooked to perfection.
The restaurant is typical of the area, simple yet welcoming, and has an authentic atmosphere.

The place is cute and friendly. The food was good, but it's a shame they'd just reopened and not everything was available. The girl who looked after us was very kind.
