Al Sorso Preferito In Nardò

We went to the cinema in Nardo and afterward we were craving pizza, so we went to this place, convinced by the many positive reviews. But I have to say we were completely disappointed, both with the place and the pizzas. Perhaps because, given the reviews, we were expecting something different, the pizzas were barely okay.

Very good food and very friendly staff. The place was very crowded and the wait to get a table was long. But we were aware of this because the staff had let us know when we booked. Recommended if you're not in a hurry.

Unique choices of pizza. Very delicious. The wait staff do not speak English but are so patient and willing to communicate through translate. Super welcoming.

Excellent pizza. Definitely among the top three pizzas in Nardò. Friendly service, though a bit disorganized.

In a country with as many pizzerias as Italy, it's a joy to find a place where, in addition to the delicious food, you're greeted with such warmth. We arrived almost at closing time, because they eat quite early here, and yet the owners served us with extraordinary friendliness, even though we don't speak Italian. We chose the insalatona, one of the three salads they offered, and it was delicious. Afterwards, we enjoyed a prosciutto pizza and a bresaola carpaccio, all very tasty. A highly recommended place for its food and, above all, for the friendliness of its owners. Greetings from two Spaniards in Tenerife.

My wife and I went to this place for lunch on a Tuesday, almost by chance. We were looking for a pizzeria in Nardò, and it was probably the only one open for lunch. At first glance, it might seem like a bad choice, but fortunately it wasn't, because the pizza was delicious, as was the fried pizza, which is actually fried pizza slices with prosciutto. The place is small but very welcoming, and the owner is incredibly kind, acting as both waiter and pizza chef (we had two tables, so I assume there wasn't any need for more staff). If I ever pass through Nardò again, it will definitely be a stop on my trip. The only downside is the entrance, which has three very high steps, which is a problem if you have a stroller or even a pram. However, seeing the stacked chairs and tables outside, perhaps in the evening or in the summer, there is an option to eat outside.
