I rarely leave reviews because my husband and I often travel unplanned, so we end up eating at the first place we come across, with almost always disappointing results. However, this little restaurant on the edge of the Taburno Park pleasantly surprised us! The location is exceptional, surrounded by simple, well-decorated greenery. The staff is incredibly friendly, especially considering we arrived unannounced and late at night. And the food...what can I say? You can taste the passion they put into it. Simple dishes are enhanced by the authenticity and freshness of the ingredients. I was amazed to find gnocco fritto (which I never thought I'd eat at these latitudes 😄) prepared to perfection, and everything else was excellent. The price, too, is truly fair. The mulberry liqueur they make is simply divine! We hope to return soon to spend at least a couple of days.

The food is excellent and the quality of the products is excellent, as is the staff. The only thing I recommend is the slightly more generous portions, because in our opinion they are too small.

A wonderful experience! The owners' warmth and helpfulness crowned our pleasant stay. We stayed one night with our dogs at Rifugio della Volpe. Despite the harsh weather, we were welcomed with such kindness and professionalism. The heated cabins are quaint and comfortable, cool, and spotlessly clean. An excellent choice for escaping the chaos and heat of the city! The next morning, we were treated to an excellent, wholesome breakfast. We'll definitely be back, this time to make friends with the donkey!

First experience at the refuge... first and not last... I could explain in words what we experienced in two days, but it would be reductive, you have to live it, smell it, taste it, but above all listen... listen to the sweet silence and the immense peace that pervades your soul... the impact was strange, different... we are so used to the noise, the frenzy that the peace of the refuge seems too much, but it doesn't last long. You will find humble, helpful, friendly, welcoming people and much more, Luciana and Giovanni... we have visited many places in our life, but with them we immediately created an almost family-like relationship and bond... and then him, the little mascot who makes all this even more than it already is, Antonio Pio, with his hand in mine took us to look at his best friend the donkey, the two goats, the chickens, his big dog and the guinea pigs, he made me laugh a lot and the hugs are unforgettable, I love it. The food, the food, no, I can't explain this. really... I will not eat so well anywhere else, from the appetizer to the dessert (including homemade bread that reminded me of my sweet grandmother) it was all wonderfully out of this world. Go there, run to the refuge, it will be an experience you will never erase and I'm happy I did it 🦊❤️

We've known this refuge since 2022 only as a restaurant, so this time we asked if we could stay in the bungalow. We couldn't have made a better choice. Giuliano welcomed us with complete hospitality, escorting us to our spotlessly clean bungalow and making himself available for dinner, which he personally prepared with great care despite his young age. Excellent! We had guests for lunch the next day, and the dishes were excellent, featuring local and locally sourced ingredients! Every suggestion was welcomed with the certainty that it would be a sure bet. The refuge is enchanting; the sound of the leaves is relaxing, the fresh air is invigorating, the viewpoint overlooks a breathtaking panorama, and their animals keep us company with their sounds... well, instead of leaving, we stayed for another night. There are also opportunities for nature hikes. A wonderful oasis that the family takes meticulous care of, and their hospitality is truly unique; guests become part of their family. Antonio Pio, at four years old, already has all the makings of an expert entertainer. Thank you again for your hospitality and kindness, qualities that make you unique.

Sono stato a pranzo in questo ristorante il 1 maggio con la mia famiglia, alla ricerca di buon cibo, natura e tranquillità, e ne siamo rimasti incantati. Incastonato tra le montagne del parco regionale del Taburno - Camposauro, questo posto ci ha offerto un’atmosfera davvero unica: il locale si presenta immerso nel verde, molto accogliente, curato e pulito, perfetto per chi cerca un po' di relax lontano dal caos quotidiano. L’accoglienza è calorosa fin dal primo istante: i titolari e il personale ci hanno fatto sentire “di casa”, attenti a ogni dettaglio e pronti a consigliarci sia i migliori piatti del menù sia gli itinerari naturalistici più belli da scoprire nei dintorni del ristorante. Riguardo la cucina, ogni portata è preparata con ingredienti freschi e di qualità, quasi tutti a base di prodotti locali, con un ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Complimenti davvero a questa struttura e a tutto il suo fantastico staff, che ringraziamo per averci regalato una bellissima giornata in famiglia che ricorderemo. Ci rivediamo presto!

Anche quest'anno abbiamo trascorso Pasqua e Pasquetta in questo magnifico posto immerso nella pace della natura. Tanto mangiare buonissimo, tanta compagnia da parte dei proprietari, tanti sentieri da perlustrare. Ci siamo stati in passato, anche nel recente passato e ci torneremo sempre volentieri.
