We were six at Rifugio Steakhouse and overall had a lovely, pleasant, and relaxed evening.
We started with five appetizers: two classic tartares, a trio of tartares, a delicate carpaccio, and montanarine with tartare on top. All dishes were well-executed and in line with the restaurant's offerings, perhaps without any particular surprises, but pleasant. We also enjoyed the homemade focaccia/pizza bianca, brought to the table.
For main courses, we shared two substantial cuts:
– a 1.45 kg Irish Florentine steak, for €123
– a 1.48 kg Galician rubia steak, for €120
The Galician rubia steak was undoubtedly the highlight of the dinner: very good meat, well-cooked, and satisfying. We accompanied everything with three classic side dishes (sautéed herbs, baked potatoes, and French fries).
A pleasant note from the evening: at one point, Rocco, with great adaptability, "recovered" some chips left on a newly vacated table... and none of the staff noticed 😄 A sign of a very informal and relaxed atmosphere, which contributed to the convivial tone of the dinner.
As for wine, we ordered three bottles for a total of €89: two bottles of Survia for €32 each and one of San Giò. All were very good, truly well-chosen, and paired with the meat.
The service was always friendly and courteous, although at times a bit slow and time management could be improved: some appetizers didn't arrive together, and water was requested multiple times. Nothing serious, just small details that, with a little more attention, would make the experience even smoother.
At the end of the meal, the house liqueur was very welcome. The final bill was €440 for six people, in line with what we ordered and the nature of the evening.
The atmosphere is simple and informal, perfect for a dinner with friends. Overall, we had a good time: a pleasant place to stop if you're in the area, with a solid menu and room for further improvement in service.

The pizzas are good quality, with tasty ingredients and a well-made dough. It's a shame, however, that they arrived cold, which detracted from the overall experience. With more careful delivery, they would have been truly excellent.
The sandwiches were good, but unfortunately, significantly smaller than expected, especially considering the price.

Beautiful restaurant, easily accessible from the highway. Courteous and professional staff. Excellent food, you'll go home satisfied. We recommend their homemade meat and the Cuore Caldo dessert. We'll be back.

The meat is good, it's a shame there's no first course in the evening... The service is a bit lacking, it could have been a little more attentive.
The dining room is a bit cold... but all in all, I recommend it to anyone who wants to try good meat.
