I was there today and ate. Unfortunately, the carbonara wasn't creamy and there were pieces of ice in it because the egg had set, but everything else was very tasty. The staff were very nice and even asked if I wanted something new. Very good atmosphere and very nice staff. I would love to come back. Thank you for everything.

A simple and traditional restaurant. The dishes are classic Italian and simply presented. There's a good selection of wines, and you're welcome to ask questions. I would describe the staff as friendly and approachable.

In the varied panorama of Roman restaurants "Al pompiere" located in the heart of the Jewish quarter of Rome remains a certainty for typical Roman cuisine. Of particular note is the very famous artichoke alla giudia. I was lucky enough to eat both in the old location which was certainly more characteristic and welcoming and in the new one which was clean and welcoming also thanks to the helpfulness of the staff but colder in my opinion. However, this does not take anything away from the quality of the cuisine which is absolutely worth trying. Average prices

We ordered a pasta amatriciana and for dessert we had a tiramisu, the service was perfect but I had high expectations and in reality the pasta was normal for me.

Located near the Jewish Ghetto, this place is perfect if you’re looking for traditional Roman dishes with a Jewish-Roman twist. We came for the fried artichoke and ended up loving the fried brain too. Everything was delicious and felt truly special

Al Pompiere negli anni, oramai quasi, 30 ha mantenuto un ottimo rapporto qualità quantità prezzo offrendo un ricco menù di cucina romana con i sapori che la contraddistinguono, sempre senza esagerare. Carciofo e Fiore sono un antipasto sicuro, tonnarelli e abbacchio un pasto soddisfacente, ricotta e visciole per chiudere, il tutto con un buon rosso syrah. Da provare e tornare.

10/07/2025: Excellent hospitality and customer service, a simple yet impeccable atmosphere. The wine selection was spot on, at reasonable prices. From this management, you'd expect more flavorful dishes, or elegant ones with a touch more flair. Instead, while everything was good, the dishes were fairly standard, almost anonymous. In my opinion, the kitchen could do better than the dining room.

21/08/2025: A fantastic restaurant - friendly service, amazing value, and the food! To create such wonderful flavours from such simple ingredients is incredible. The spaghetti alla gricia was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in years. And have the alliciotti fritti panati (fried anchovies) and smother them in lemon juice. Delicious!
