Historic restaurant in Rome with a menu that reflects the culinary tradition of the city. Nice atmosphere and attentive and courteous service. Cacio e Pepe worth seeing again...

Lovely Lunch. We enjoyed Jewish style artichoke, vegetable soup, amatriciana and lemon pasta. Everything cooked perfectly and well seasoned. Delicious. House wine was delightful as well.

When the waiter hands you a worn, torn menu whose cover hasn't been changed in decades, and when you ask for the specials of the day he says "whatsever on the menu", that's when you know this famous place is resting on its laurels, content to serve the identical food for dozens of years, probably not even having a chef but a cook... Sure they fry the artichokes the same way and sure the typical Roman dishes are available but, really, can't you even TRY?

Traditional Roman cuisine restaurant with a welcoming but refined and airy atmosphere, with well-spaced tables located in a historic location in the heart of Rome. Very good dishes, homemade pasta, efficient and very kind service (the more mature waiter was very nice) I recommend it because it is really a very central place but not at all touristy despite the size of the restaurant. The only sore point is the quantity/price ratio of the desserts: €8.50 a lot for a portion of tiramisu finished in 4 teaspoons or a really thin slice of tart. Sin

Al Pompiere negli anni, oramai quasi, 30 ha mantenuto un ottimo rapporto qualità quantità prezzo offrendo un ricco menù di cucina romana con i sapori che la contraddistinguono, sempre senza esagerare. Carciofo e Fiore sono un antipasto sicuro, tonnarelli e abbacchio un pasto soddisfacente, ricotta e visciole per chiudere, il tutto con un buon rosso syrah. Da provare e tornare.

Cucina tradizionale romana ma di elevato standard. Fritti insuperabili e primi eccellenti. Specialità della tradizione ebraica ottime ed insolite come l’indivia roccia alle alici.Rapporto qualità- prezzo più che adeguato. Ci torneremo più che volentieri.
