Place towards the end of the Jewish quarter of Rome, a little touristy but very good and with more than affordable prices, very fast, very friendly and efficient service.

A lunch at the Pompiere, in Piazza delle Cinque Scole, is at the same time an experience of haute Roman cuisine and a visit to the friendly family of the owners, very nice people who pay attention to their customers/guests, with whom they love to have pleasant conversations. As you all know, here we have the privilege of tasting the best Jewish artichoke in the world!

We discovered pompieri several years ago and it continues to be very good. The carciofo alla giudia is like no other.

Delicious tonnarelli with artichokes and Roman-style tagliolini. Space brains and fried artichokes. Dessert a little subdued. Attentive and friendly service from the waiter Mauro.

Very good “Sunday” family restaurant, traditional dishes very well prepared. Be careful though, the bread is very expensive! And too bad at the end of the meal the limoncello costs even on large tables...

If you want to save yourself the hassle of wandering around looking for a great restaurant, you should visit 'Al Pompiere'. The dishes were excellent, the service was very attentive and the initially rustic furnishings also contribute to a great atmosphere! I would come back any time!

Classic Roman restaurant in the Jewish ghetto. Neat atmosphere and great service. A bit pricier than other classic restaurants in Rome. You should try the carciofi alla giudia and the fettuccine al limone.

Leggo in alcune recensioni che sarebbe peggiorato: non posso dirlo, per me è stata la prima volta. Ho trovato il posto comodo, gradevole, tavoli ben distanziati, servizio eccellente. Il cibo: squisito, tutto buonissimo, senza fronzoli ma molta sostanza. Carta ampia di portate classiche romanesche. Prezzi adeguati. Personalmente l'ho amato molto e cercherò di ritornare presto!
